We're back! Nach einem halben Jahr Pause sind wir endlich wieder zurück mit unserer monatlichen Show bei Radio Blau. 2022 wird unsere Show wieder mehr »Radio«. Das bedeutet mehr Musik, mehr Themen, mehr live und spontan, eben wieder mehr Radio im eigentlichen Sinne.

Diesmal hat uns @porterbrook  erzählt wie sein erster Eindruck vom  »www.neuewelt.club« ist und wie es aktuell mit Clubbing in UK aussieht. Mit @zouj-music haben wir über Touring in 2021, die Resonanz auf sein Debüt-Mixtape und seine Pläne für 2022 gesprochen. @olivia_facci hat uns erzählt wie ihr erstes Album entstanden ist und warum sie auf Deutsch aber auch auf Spanisch rappt und @farbian-driven hat  uns das Phänomen Turnstile nahe gebracht.

RIC49`s roots lay in house music, while today he mostly plays intuitiv, fun and vibrant Techno or Breakbeat Sets. He loves to interact with the crowd and is known for giving them exactly what they long for: bold and high energetic choices behind the decks.
His style of music stands out due to his love for fast tracks combined with loads of pop cultural influences. Over the last six years he became a core member of disorder: fast and nice and is deeply connected to Viennas underground scene.

The Local Selection Mix returns with jarring mix of techno, breaks, electro & ghetto house from DDR resident, Katie Tynan. The up and coming selector has provided a bold and bouncy selection of up-tempo cuts, an abundance of playful samples and efficacious beats make for a thrilling ride.

Katie takes great influence from ghetto house legends such as DJ Deeon and DJ Godfather, the young selector finds joy in blending these with homegrown influences and old school flavours such as rave classics and hard house. Tynan’s mixing etiquette can be described as raw and rapid. Katie thrives in quick mixing and mixing off the fly, the adrenaline of fast paced and somewhat dubious mixing excites the young selector.

The Dublin based selector is still quite new to DJ’ing after only picking it up a year ago and what was once a hobby has now become an obsession and passion project. Some early mixes with DDR helped shape the selectors sound and offered a platform to showcase where she was at musically. Further mixes for Wwwirl and Laetitia gave Tynan the confidence to look for some gigs and approach DDR for a monthly slot on the station.

Katie’s my first gig came in October of 2021 in Wigwam for the opening weekend for nightclubs. The landmark gig for Tynan went down a treat and displayed her skill as DJ in a club setting.

Katie’s Local Selection Mix is a brisk and playful trip through Katie’s favourite genres. The young selector runs through techno to trance to bassy experiments with great ease. Quick transitions and genre switches make for a playful and audacious trip.

leo spasit est producteur et DJ. Installé à Pantin, il y produit une musique spontanée, influencée entre autres par l'electro de Detroit et le braindance anglais. 

  Quelque part entre electro, breakbeats, acid et bass music, leo Spasit livre "Nuit Tranquille" son premier EP. Imagé et onirique bien qu'emprunt d'une pointe de dérision, le projet est clairement destiné aux pistes de danse. Un périple nocturne en cinq actes, de 120 à 150 BPM.

The compilation is free, but all proceeds will go directly to the Refugees4Refugees network.

Brooklyn duo Infinite Monkey Theorem's output matches electronic and instrumental influences to craft music aimed at the dancefloor. There's obvious doffs of the cap to IDM, breakbeat and leftfield club sounds but also elements of shoegaze, free jazz and soundsystem music bubbling up under the surface.

For their new release, ChimpGPT, the pair share five tracks of off-kilter club cuts laced with guitars and hypnotic bass lines. And it's all for a great cause too - they're donating all proceeds from the release to UN Women, the UN organisation who do important work to protect women's rights and end violence against women across the world.
