< Milos Sofrenovic > performance artist -  stage director - choreographer - festival selector -  pedagogue received his choreographic education as a scholarship Bachelor of Arts student at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance in London. As a performance artist, choreographer and stage director he was the recipient of several international scholarships and performed for various choreographers including : Michael Lazic (Belgium), Ana Sanchez Colberg (London), Kitt Johnson (Denmark), Liz King (Vienna), Danny Tan (Singapore), Mikhail Honessau (Berlin), Filippo Armati (Locarno), Sonja Vukicevic (Belgrade). He has presented his works at festivals in New York, Singapore, London, Edinburgh, Athens, Istanbul, Yerevan, Stockholm, Iceland, Vienna, Graz, Zagreb, Rijeka, Skopje, Bitola, Belgrade and Novi Sad.

Rome based Mardi Gras is a rock act with a difference. Named after Creedence Clearwater Revival's last studio album, the band's musical journey is made of protest songs, poetry, prayers set to music, and a whole lot more. In May 2021 comes out with a new rendition of Elisa's song "Come speak to me". In 2020 Mardi Gras comes out with five new singles. In January the first one, "From Zero to One", produced by Stuart Epps (producer of Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Oasis, Robbie Williams, Zak Starkey, George Harrison, Bill Wyman, Chris Rea), in April a new version of the band's 2018 single "Shoes" and a cover of the Oasis' "Don't look back in anger". In June the band presents a new version of "Satellites and me" (originally from their album "Among the streams") and in September a new rendition of  Paul Weller's song "You do something to me", again in collaboration with the producer Stuart Epps. In 2019 two singles, “Adam & Eve” and “Gingerman” are released in collaboration with Mark Geary, a noted Irish artist. 2018 marks a new start for the band with a new line up and a brand new voice. Three singles from that year: "One Guitar" (benefit single to raise funds and help the Light of Day Foundation for Parkinson's disease) was released in December, a pop/rock ballad "Tried" in July, and "Shoes", a groovy soul oriented track was the first single released with the new line up in spring 2018. Mardi Gras has released three albums so far: Drops Made (2006, Goodfellas), Among the Streams (2011) and last, Playground (2015), a record where ballads, rock, funk and acoustic pieces of music are the playground for the band with all their influences. Mundy, one of the greatest Irish songwriters, is a guest on the album that was mastered by Simon Gibson at Abbey Road Studios in London. As regular visitors in Ireland, the band has forged long-standing connections with some of the best Irish musicians, playing as the support act for The Frames and Glen Hansard, and sharing the stage with artists such as Mundy, Siobhan O' Brien, TKO, Micah P Hinson, Noah and the Whale, Billy Bragg or Jack Savoretti (not to mention the best Italian independent acts) to name a few. Liam O'Maonlai from the Hothouse Flowers features on the album "Among the streams" where a W.B.Yeats's poem is put into music. Two of Mardi Gras' songs, "The wait" and "Scarecrow in the snow" are listed on Neil Young's website "Songs of the Times" where protest songs from all over the world are chosen and listed by Neil Young in person. The band has also attracted attention internationally on European and US based radio stations. Mardi Gras' singles "Feel Alright" and "Your Constellation" charted in Italy and were included on the Hit Mania next vol 2 CD and heir instrumental piece "Alys" is the soundtrack for the eponymous Sci-Fi short film. In 2013 Mardi Gras had the privilege to play at the Sziget Festival in Budapest - one of the largest music festivals in Europe.

Born and raised in Manhattan on the Upper East Side, Odyssey began spinning in 1982. His passion for music started at an early age and his musical background is deeply rooted in the sounds of Disco, R & B, Soul, Funk, Jazz and Latin music. 

In 1992 Odyssey became one of the original members of NYC’s infamous Digital Konfusion crew, a collaboration of DJs, artists and dancers. Still going strong today they continue to be a major force in the dance, music and art culture of NYC as well as abroad, where they’ve maintained a particulary strong presence in the Austrian music scene for the last decade, regularly broadcasting Digital Konfusion radio on fm4.orf.at

In addition to performing at parties and venues coast to coast in the U.S, Odyssey completed five city tours in Austria and France. Locally, he has played at legendary NYC nightclubs such as Roxy, Roseland, Limelight, The Shelter, Tunnel, Twilo, Carbon and Centro Fly to name a few,  performing alongside other highly respected artists such as Afrika Bambaatta, Jazzy Jay, Pal Joey, Eric Morillo, Little Louie Vega, Roy Davis Jr., Frankie Bones, Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, Benji Candelario, Baby Hec Romero . . . the list goes on.

The millennium marked the release of Odyssey’s first 4 records and his involvement with Liquid Sky, a major influence in the evolution of NYC’s music, fashion and event culture. Since then he’s continued to play an active role in local music and dance culture, both as a DJ, producer, and NYC icon. With 28 years of experience Odyssey is considered one of New York City's most versatile DJs, mixing different sets from Disco, Funk, Soul, R & B, Nu Wave, House, Hip-Hop, Techno, Electro, Drum and Bass, Dubstep and Break Beats flawlessly. To truly appreciate Odyssey’s talent both in terms of technical skill, musical selection, and the crowd’s enthusiasm, you just have to witness his performance for yourself.

Hi there! Thank you for clicking on this page! Allow me to introduce myself: I' ve been making music since I was eight or nine years old. At first I was playing the recorder and the flute on an educational level. I tried to cope with classical composer' s stuff like Mozart and Bach and I guess I learned quite a lot about music at that time but was really missing the fun part. That started to change when I was twelve or thirteen and got my first keyboard. It was a Yamaha MK-100, a weird combination of a preset- keyboard and synthesizer with built in speakers and a small selection of crappy waveforms that could be combined to get different sounds. About a year later I bought the famous Casio SK-1 Sampling Keyboard and had a lot of fun burping into its built in microphone (some of you might know what I' m talking about). Things became a little more serious when I got my first real synthesizer, a Kawai K1 ( Jan Hammer' s Miami Vice soundtrack was my first CD and a huge influence at that time). I quit playing the flute and and got myself a Yamaha RX-7 drum machine. When I was sixteen I went to America as an exchange student and spent one year in Marion, Wisconsin. When I came back to Germany my brother and I got together with two of his friends and formed a rock band. The band' s name was "Rescue On Friday". I was the lead singer and wrote the lyrics for the songs. We had a couple of gigs around the area of Hannover and did some demo- recordings but the band didn' t last any longer than three years. Electronic music had become increasingly interesting for me. I was blown away when I first listened to the Prodigy' s "Music For The Jilted Generation". I was looking for something new and when the band split up we had a little money left from the gigs we had played. In 1997 I bought myself a Yamaha QY700 Sequencer and a Roland MC-303 Groovebox and started to learn about MIDI recording. Later on I added an A3000 Sampler and I traded the MC-303 for a 505. Some other equipment has come and gone since then like a Korg Kaoss- Pad, an EMU ESI 4000 and a Yamaha SU 700. My current setup list includes:
