So, let me start this with a story: 
About three months ago, I was doing a pretty much daily refresh of Frums's SoundCloud, hoping to catch a new song. (I think we've all been "here", for one reason or another...)
And, one time, I, well, don't find a song. I find a playlist instead: "unforgettable", a list of songs that Frums often finds itself putting on repeat, something it doesn't usually do. (https://soundcloud.com/frums/sets/unforgettable)
So, I do the natural thing, and I pore over the playlist, checking out every artist present there - Dream Position / sketchday, eerik inpuj sound, STAFFcirc, among others... 
This was amazing - I didn't know anyone who was really interested in anything within a ten-foot pole of experimental music, or, well. Anything actually outside the list of 100 songs you hear at your standard event, I guess. So having someone I deeply respect as a musician vouch for these songs... well. It was nice to actually have a direction of cool songs to go listen to, outside of what I knew.
...So, I decided to do the very much unnatural thing, and go thousands of songs deep in Frums's likes list. Yes, I actually did this. "Normal fan behavior" I guess... 
But, that moment is probably top 10 in the list of "most important decisions I've made"... because that was how I found sleepy.zone.
After consulting my Internet history, the first time I learned about sleepy.zone was on November 27, 2023, through hailst's flip of Wavetapper. I will leave to an exercise to the reader to confirm that yes, that is in Frums's likes - according to my memory of which was first, I think it was its 149th most recent like at the time. I guess this isn't *too* bad...
Needless to say, without sleepy.zone, I would definitely, 100% not be releasing music right now. 
So, yeah, "unforgettable" is a very important playlist for me... and, this night a Scholarly that is unable to actually sleep for reasons unknown has decided that I kinda want to make my own version of it. Hence, this-

All songs on this playlist are songs that I have, within roughly the past year, looped straight for around an hour. It's uh. Definitely missing some songs I would consider to be in my favorites. But, for the purposes of similarity, I'm sticking to the theme...
This list, is, of course, also incomplete.

(Also, the first actual sleepy.zone song I listened to? I'm not entirely sure... but, I think it's part 1 of "and why he EP 😂" - for those not in the loop, yes, that is the actual title. The more I think about this, the more I remember a moment of me sitting on a bench in Lloyd Hall, listening to that song... and it is probably what I would have first clicked from sleepy.zone on hailst's page... but, eh, I can't be certain at this point, Safari only stores the last time you visited a page.)

[Arcaea] Aegleseeker / Silentroom vs Frums

I made this song in about 9 hours during FORM's All Nighter 7 charity event! It was sort of a spur-of-the-moment decision for me to participate in it, but I'm really glad I did, since it finally pushed me to actually finish a song. The only changes I made since the weekend of the event were a couple of samples cutting out that I'd missed, a couple of reverb swells I added to fill space, and mixing/"mastering" changes. (mastering is in quotation marks because I don't really know what I'm doing)

For some reason I was really set on using the Dorian mode somewhere in the song, and so I wrote chords for the second drop first, and then with an underwater theme in mind, I tried to make everything else really brooding, yet really pretty at the same time, like fluorescent deep sea creatures. Also I have no clue how the intro chords came about, but I really liked them, so they got to stay.

Constructive criticism is very much welcomed and appreciated, just keep in mind, again, first song, 9 hours, y'know, all that. But thank you for listening! I hope you like it!

Dawn of Apples - ENTROPY

Fliptochrome!! The original Cryptochrome is by far my favorite song that came out in 2022. Around a month ago while walking to class, I was playing it in my head at house tempo, improvising some changes to fit a 4 on the floor pattern, and something about it really clicked with me. It started as just a quick little experiment to see what it would sound like, but I had so many ideas that it eventually grew into a full song!

I wasn't sure what to call this exactly; it's not really a remix, since the drops mostly use the original song, but I'd like to think it's more than just an edit, so I settled for flip.  I also feel like I learned a lot about mixing/mastering while working on this too, so I'm glad I saw it through to the end. Hope you enjoy!!

(feel like I should also add that neither the original nor this version has anything to do with a certain chain of blocks, it's just a word that sounds cool)

Au5 - Cryptochrome (Dawn of Apples Flip)

My first time hearing the original song was in my DAW at around midnight, with the stems freshly downloaded. I just kept looping it over and over again, soloing different combinations of instruments, and something about that listening experience really struck a chord with me. I hope I was able to transcribe that magic into this remix, and I hope you enjoy.
