Missing Tapes 019 : Fiber

Giordano lands on IDA’s Sävy Records for the label's first outing of 2021. With this dynamic four-track EP the producer introduces a new sound in his arsenal as he reaches the spaces between ambient, techno and UK breaks. 

Hailing from Padua, Italy, and currently based in Berlin, Giordano is established as a purveyor of blistering techno, with Glasgow imprint Soma Records and Granulart Records from Kessell (one half of revered Spanish duo Exium) being among the labels snapping up his tracks. However, in the last eighteen months he’s been further experimenting with breaks in the studio, utilising analog and digital tools to craft a stirring, potent brew that exudes a sense of timelessness. 

Kicking the EP off is ‘Into Your Mind’, a pounding cut with industrial-strength thuds looming large before the grip loosens with wistful keys, a shooting synth and soaring, shimmering notes. ‘Catch Up’ reveals Giordano’s deftness with melodies as the booming breakbeat blasts are propelled by the emotive, melancholic quality of the sweeping melody line. The rampant ‘Sticky End’ unleashes chaos while ‘Lisbon Bridge’ closes the EP on a more mellow, introspective trip.

Dynamic Range was born in Lausanne (CH) and is now based in Berlin. Despite his young age he has already been playing music in clubs and events for ten years, making his first marks in various electronic music genres.


As a DJ he is fast and fierce - he loves to be on both side of the booth, and those who’ve been under his spell on dance floors out there know he knows what they want better than they themselves do.

He now makes regular trips to play in his home country and also has played in great places in Berlin, such as Tresor, Griessmuehle or Suicide Circus.

His very first officially released track was published on a compilation on the great label Krill Music and he has a lot more music coming.

Out of the ruins of Canning Town comes the mysterious individual that is Nakamoto. Only a handful of people have managed to ever see his face but many have raved under the sounds of this selector. 

Representing FOLD’s corner during our Ilian Tape takeover, Nakamoto left no stone unturned during a panoramic plunge into his record bag. He ensured the dancefloor knew, despite the enigma of his persona, he has been an integral part of our sound since the very beginning and continually adapts to our ever-changing landscape.
