...'been fookin' ages since I uploaded any new stuff so here's a tune I recorded during my crazy adventures on tour with Skinny Lister over the last two years. It's all about getting on with things, instead of blowing your brains out. It's about the here and the now! So get on with it! Totally inspired by the crazy bunch of loons that are Skinny Lister who I admire and love so much, and even more so now as I look back on that time on tour from my yoga mat! For you geeks out there it's also the first record that I've put out featuring mandolin, and also electric guitars WITH a pick (both inspired by the 'Listers! And my right-hand-stick-man as ever on this is the legend that is Andy Adams. Enjoy, and ON WITH THE SONG! :) x

On With The Song

I wrote this track about the perpetual struggle between order and chaos that is to me at the heart of the human experience. The game of teetering on the edge of control and safety, and the dilemmas that present in those moments of madness. I had this idea of two old souls in their mobility scooters and the final throes of their terrestrial existence heading out to the cliffs and contemplating the end....

Andy Adams did the drums and some tidy electric guitar, and he helped me finish writing the music to this. He's a legend in his time too. I finished this track just after I left Skinny Lister, and my crazy two years on the road with them. I guess I was contemplating my new life to come as a yogi. Three years later I felt like it was time to share it with you all. Be legends in your time y'all!
