⛔I wasn't very keen on coming here; and my doubt was unfortunately not without merit.. The robotic inhabitants of this Outerzone planet are particularly hostile to any and all aeros, something I learned the hard way! Thankfully, with a few techniques I picked up flying through our first planet (and a bit of scrap metal I found lying around), I could patch myself up enough to respin my engines and make a break for the exosphere. You wont be able to catch me this time, laser missiles! 🏹 🛫🌌

My first ever mix tape recorded back in the early 90's. Remember selling lots at all the old raves I used to play at and have kept it from cassette to mini disk and now off my hard drive.
Over the years it's gone from a TDK cassette and spliced together, cleaned up as best as possible and now ready to go back to the public domain.
Yes it dose have that tune by Son's Of Loop Da Loop Era from the Suzuki advert lol

Carl Cox is pretty much the embodiment of the 'superstar dj'.

One interesting thing about Carl Cox, and something that is often forgotten, is that back in the early 90's he was one of the biggest names in the UK hardcore rave scene, and he fucking rocked at it. In a single set you could hear anything from British breakbeat hardcore to Dutch gabber, with Scottish bouncy techno, hard American acid and European hard trance all thrown in his trademark three-deck blender. 

Since he was so awesome, and so unique in many ways, I wanted my latest mix to be a tribute to what he was doing in his rave heyday - I wanted to boil down two years worth of his musical selections into a single mix, with nice and crisp audio quality and no shitty mc's. To do so, I built a database of 25 tracklistings from 1993/1994 and pulled together a tracklisting of 45 tunes that captures all of the elements of the Carl Cox rave experience. 

I am really happy with this mix, and I hope you enjoy it too!

Old Skool Breaks 1990 - 91 - Hackney Vinyl Mix

Moondance 25 was almost sold out and due to to take place on Friday 27th March 2020 @ Fabric London. 

With the UK in lock down and practicing social distancing and isolation due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we needed to lift spirits and keep the party going. The only way was online, and wow did it go off!!!

We had just shy of 7,000 devices streaming in just one hour, and many more over the whole evening with almost 25,000 comments - it was truly incredible how many people tuned got involved and showed some love... 

Big respect to Funki (Moondance) Bruno and the other DJs: Ratpack, The Acid Brothers, Twista, Sense and Trix for the great teamwork and pulling the whole show together.

For over three decades, this dubplate diamond has been changing the game, staying on the pulse and keeping ahead of the curve, packing dancefloors and selling out clubs long before it was cool and still does so to this very day.

Not one to ever slow down or fall behind and always keeping himself fresh and relevant, this dancefloor don has been focusing lately on the biggest and best house beats, which has led him to an already extraordinarily busy 2020. Add to that his upcoming book “My Story (and How I Became a World Class DJ)”, which is set to be a smash hit amongst rave fanatics the World over later this year and with over a hundred gigs booked for 2020 already (mid-Feb), there are no signs of this crowd pleasing international artist slowing down any time soon.
