Anna Olivia Böke, better known as Sloe Noon, owes her name to a visit to a chip shop in her former home Brighton playing around with fridge poetry magnets on the walls. Later combined with a sloe gin nightcap offered at her nan’s, things were all set.

Once safeguarding her creations in her Brighton student flat, Sloe Noon has since returned to her home country Germany and let her songs unfetter from the bedroom into a covid stricken world. Gaining confidence in her songwriting craft through demo-ing and home-recording with guitarist and producer Dennis Mielke during that time, she was able to overcome her longstanding FOSO (fear of starting out). In 2023 she went on to play her first support tours and festivals across the UK, Germany and France whilst releasing a home-recorded debut EP called ‘Liminality’ with Mielke and recording new music with producer Theo Verney (English Teacher, Lime Garden) back in Brighton to be released early next year.

2024 is shaping up to be her most significant year yet, fully emerging as a self-sustaining solo artist drawing inspiration from both Britain’s finest alternative rock and the German Ruhr area’s Krautrock beats creating her own distinct guitar driven grunge pop.
