Prolific Colombian producer Felipe Gordon returns to RNT to deliver his first offering in a two-EP and album project series. The record kicks off with the swingy Strings of the Afterlife, evoking classic Chez-N-Trent vibes and moves to the sultry emotive tones of The Fall of A Withered Empire. On the flip, Felipe takes us into high gear with the hypnotic looped synth groove and relentless beats of Clásico, and lets us down easy with the jazzy lilt of Julia y Luis. A truly standout EP, even for Felipe who delivers quality time and time again.

@Crackazat has already had an incredible year with the release of his stunning album Evergreen on Freerange which is easily one of the albums of the year so far. Now he is back on @heistrecordings following up his stand-out Alfa EP from last year for them.

The new EP, Demucha lands with three scintillating tracks taking his jazz infused house sound and delivering perfectly for the dancefloor.

Our premier from the EP today is Sarge a delightful house track with it's roots in the 90's courtesy of it's simple but addictive bassline and edgy drums. As always where Crackazat stands out is his incredible work on the keys whether that is adding euphoric textures or classy keys or even enigmatic energy packed atmospherics.

At Bolting Bits HQ we receive a lot of music submissions. We do our absolute best to feature as many artists and labels as possible to shed light on as much talent from across the world as we can. Until now, we've almost exclusively been showcasing material from signed talent, music that's already tied to a record label, be it self-released or through a third party. Today, we're launching our new unsigned series. The goal of this new series is to highlight music from talent that has either reached out to us or that we've come across in our own digging, but is music that has yet to find a home. We hope to showcase these artists and their music to the various influencers that keep up with our content and possibly help establish some sort of connection between the two parties. Instead of writing about the artists, for this series we've decided that it would be great if it could be more personal. We've asked these artists to introduce themselves and write a little bit about what makes them tick musically, their influences and anything else they choose to share with us. So, without further ado, we bring you the first in our unsigned series by Paradiso Rhythm.

UNSIGNED 001: Paradiso Rhythm - Theo's Prophecy

In the Felbm project, Dutch multi-instrumentalist Eelco Topper presents Tape 1 and Tape 2, a two-part project stretching across fifteen tracks - encompassing fluttering piano melodies, subtle jazz drums, rumba rhythms and soothing ambience. 

"Tape 1" digital EP is out 21 September 2018. "Tape 2" digital EP is out 26 October 2018.

Both tapes will be released on a full vinyl album "Tape 1 / Tape 2" on 26 October 2018.

PREMIERE : Hidden Spheres - Laamore

After a brief hiatus Loudeast Records brings us this original live jazz composition entitled ‘Salty Noodles’ by Latin Jazz maestro Victor Mendoza. Mendoza is a vibraphonist extraordinaire, producer, composer as well as a professor. He is of Mexican origin and is considered by those in his field, to be one of the greatest artists in the genre of Latin jazz and percussion around the globe. Born in 1955, he played the flute as a child before switching to percussion. Relocating to the States in his teens he studied at North Arizona University and Berklee. After his graduation from Berklee in 1983, he joined the faculty and became a professor of music. His career spans performances with artists like Ben E. King, Paquito D' Rivera, George Garzone, Claudio Roditi, Slide Hampton. He’s played with the World
Festival Orchestra under the direction of Paquito de Rivera, Milan Svoboda Orchestra in Prague, Sinfónica Carlos Chavez in Mexico City, the prestigious Jazz Knights Big Band of West Point, as well as the Montreal jazz festival, and jazz festivals in Paris, Boston, New Orleans.
On 'Salty Noodles' the cast is stacked with musicians who have earnt their stripes by performing at the highest levels. This is evident in the playful and warm jazzy Mediterranean vibes of the title cut.
In addition, 'Salty Noodles' gets a house re touch from label head Nacho Marco who flips it into a very credible house number that moves through Chicago house and draws to a close on some magical and uplifting Detroit chords.

The screens of modern society can make the world feel more cold and lonely. Less connections, less warmth. And yet, through technology, opportunities and possibilities form. Shining lights and silver linings are especially evident in the art of collaboration. Producer Psalm Trees and guitarist Guillaume Muschalle, for example, have never met in real life. They don't speak the same language so they let the music do the talking.

Their new album, We Must Believe in Spring, focuses on the collective instead of the individual. With a nod to Bill Evans' jazz album from the late '70s, the instrumental LP displays a positive message of art and collaboration and community, continuing down the road unknown with optimism and hope.
