The production alias of NYC's @dj-duane-harriott and Sean Marquand, Devin Dare produce disco edits with a driving, almost techno-like sensibility, and this 12' showcases their ability to coax every last drop of energy from a chopped and looped sample. From the rolling thump of 'Clash and Burn,' to the percussive and bass-driven 'Stop,' the low-slung gospel organ groove of 'Dust,' to the explosive and exuberant 'KOHO2' this record pretty much defines what a rework can, and should be. In a word, PROPER!

NYC Disco legend Danny Krivit made a hot disco edit. Cooper Saver from the Westcoast serves a breakbeat club version that kicks ass and Ray Mang, London’s legendary man for effective disco and funky house, delivers a fresh disco version of Judge Not.

Why we like his sound? It’s raw and it got funk! Filtered loops, chunky basslines, catchy melodies? For sure! The result is something truly magical, a huge live jazz-funk escapade that sounds like if The Rotary Connection and Charles Stepny went on an orchestral late 70s jazz-funk-fusion journey...its big, epic and full of musical surprises!

Scottish producers Ricky Reid (The James L’Estraunge Orchestra, RK Fusion, The True Rebels) and Craig Smith (6th Borough Project, Fifty Fathoms Deep) are Soul Renegades, a duo that between themselves has more house history than most of us. With early releases dating back to the 90s they previously got music out on labels like Restless Soul and Rainy City.
