Jamie Paton makes music that could be described as “Leftfield techno” or “Slowmotion house”. “Disk Memories” is his second release on Höga Nord Rekords and Paton still work in the same spirit as on the previous HNR release from 2017.
“Disk Memories” is barren electronic music for the Brexit generation. Paton has established a dystopic electronic sound that aims straight at your frontal lobe, burns in your bones, and projects a lost Europe’s anxiety on the grey London skies.
The music breathes of the cold 1980’s, a time of crisis in England’s history and a vibe to be recognize in today’s society: right-wing winds once again blows hard over the British Isles and Jamie Paton’s music catches the insecurity the wind carries with it.

Analog Italian House maestro Deep88 has contributed a straight up deep house belter for Soul Clap Records 'Italo Funk' compilation. The choice cut for us here, the production on this track is so warm it's silly. Combine the classic Latley Bass patch & the gritty SP1200 drum machine alongside some heavenly pads and FM melodies and you have a recipe for perfection really.

Last year, Let's Play  House released LPH cofounder, Jacques Renault’s sophomore album, BK Club Beats, Breaks & Versions, a back-to-basics effort that found the producer eschewing big-budget studio sessions and once again using samples as the clay with which he sculpts his music. Considering the snappy, cut-up nature of the tracks, we thought it’d be fun to invite a few of our friends to take the parts and reshape them into versions of their own design. Here, LPH present you with the four they gathered. DJ Boring’s is a restive spellbinder stuck in a trancey lock groove; M.I.A.L.’s a molasses-thick slow-mo chugger oozing all over your eardrums; Spencer Parker’s a sunny disco strutter spinning across the dancefloor; and Tee Mango’s a wiggy soul inversion that suavely seduces. Welsh rising producer Eben Rees of Haws fame has this very tidy release coming out this week with large remixes from Jimpster and Tech Support backing him up. We've got the bumpin' Italo Disco remix from the brilliant Tech Support to show you today. Deep compressed drums drive under a harmonious gathering of, spacey Juno pads, bouncy synth bass lines, soaring leads and the all important disco clav sprinkled over for that extra spice.

'Brookyln-based producer Reed Kackley has been hard at work ravishing the electronic music stratosphere under his moniker BAILE. Staying true to his signature sound, he returns to House of Youth with 'KWT' featuring K. Marie Kim on vocals.

“I had initially envisioned 'KWT' as an instrumental, but upon finishing it up I decided to pepper in some vocals samples I had lying around from an unreleased track with Marie Kim. It still felt incomplete, so I asked Marie if she wanted to record something new over the instrumental. At that point the track finally had the arc I was searching for and felt fully realized.”

BAILE blends trip hop with lounge once again in this release, and the effect is as warm and fleeting as a dream There's a lot to be discovered here, with rich sounds and textures buried in layers within the production. Marie Kim overlays the track with a lamenting vocal about a relationship about to fade out.

“The words outline someone letting go of a friendship or relationship that has grown apart over some time. There isn't one party or incident to blame but perhaps compounding resentment. So we go alone - we want to feel perfectly good alone, but most of us don’t.” '

Miami house producer UNOMAS flips LA indie disco/funk producer LUXXURY (Blake Robin) and Escort singer Adeline’s Kitsune-released duet “Change Yr Mind” from a melancholy slow disco song to a sunny piano house banger.  “After last summer's “Keep it Together” with Kraak & Smaak I got excited about working with other similarly minded artists to stretch out my sound.”  Other collaborations in the works for LUXXURY include Satin Jackets, Goldroom, Anoraak and more.
