Aroop Roy is a producer, musician and label head, who joins the dots between electronic music and borderless organic sounds. From house, disco and techno to jazz, funk and Afrobeat, he has enjoyed universal acclaim as a producer and DJ.

Like his productions, his sets are full of personality and style and have earned him a growing reputation as a uniquely gifted DJ. In 2022, he closed We Out Here Festival with Mr Scruff who described Aroop as a 'ridiculously skilled selector, musically able to move in any direction with ease'. We were fortunate enough to witness this magic, so it's with great pleasure we welcome him to the series. Enjoy

Since 2010, Stefan has been contributing to the global underground with his distinctive style he has helped shape the sound of house music from Atlanta and the US. Stefan has given life to many projects and remixes on labels such as NDATL Muzik, Brownswood Recordings, PPU, Eglo Records, !K7, and his own imprint, FWM Entertainment.

As a DJ, Stefan’s dynamic sets leave a lasting impression on audiences worldwide. You can catch him live at top venues like NYC's Public Records and Dante's Hifi in Miami. From North America to the UK, Europe, and Asia, Stefan showcases his passion for music, eclectic taste, and dynamic productions.

Bristol-based producer Sean McCabe has amassed an impressive discography, delivering inspired releases and reworks for the likes of Local Talk, Z Records, Strictly Rhythm, Room Control, Tribe, Quantize and his own label Good Vibrations Music. Releasing his first tracks in 2003, he has fine-tuned a trademark sound that is effortlessly soulful and definitely house.
 
A quick listen to any of his productions or DJ sets will confirm this emotion-rich aesthetic. Constantly learning and evolving, taking his sound in different directions, McCabe admits to a love of vintage synthesizers – picked up from listening to classic New York boogie and ‘80s soul. 


"I always like to play a mix of styles in a set to keep it interesting and represent the different styles that I like. I selected about 50 tracks that I felt like playing, to give me options, some recently released and some forthcoming. I made up the structure as I went along based on how I felt in the moment. It starts with a blend of soulful songs and funky/jazzy grooves, then delves into deeper driving tracks to build some anticipation, like a crescendo of some sort, then relieve the tension with music that has a resolving feel to it and end with some broken beat and jazzy ear candy. I think this is typical of how I try to programme my mixes. Like a very long chord progression or song structure; set mood, build tension, resolve, home, then repeat. I also like to make sure I don't play too many vocals or dubs/instrumentals in a row. So I try to keep it varied in that respect too." - https://soundcloud.com/seanmccabe

We've loved so many of the Ibizan resident's releases for the likes of Kaoz Theory, Kwench, Nu Groove, Holic Trax and Melodeum that we had to get him involved in the guest mix series. This mix explores the even deeper and trippier side of Tuccillo's tastes with 100% of the tracks all produced by him.

In honour of my new EP, Breeze FM, I thought I'd put together 60 mins of some of the dance music that inspired the making of the record. The mix is equal parts deep house, italo, balearic -- all with a light and breezy touch. There's some relatively new music in there, and a couple classics too.
