I’m a Cliché is proud to introduce Moscoman. Although every club in Tel Aviv has known him for years as a DJ, the simply titled “Moscoman EP” is his debut release as a producer.

He is named like a bad guy in some comic book about the Cold War, and has recently settled in Berlin, capital of the Iron Curtain. It comes as no surprise that the “Moscoman EP” briefcase includes three spy-friendly discreet, slow-burning and unfailing lethal weapons.

“Fuse of Hell”, “Misled Loophole” and “Feos Chaos” are six or seven minutes long instrumental techno tracks, all driven by bass lines that stick to one’s brain and playful drums.

“Moscoman EP” is the tenth release this year by I’m a Cliché, the French label founded by Cosmo Vitelli in 2004. Featured artists have been Bot’Ox - Cosmo Vitelli’s own band and their spin-offs, In Fields, Red Axes, Crackboy... Besides these records, there also has been the Edit Service series : one free download avery two weeks. Two of them were offered by new signing Moscoman. Coming soon are Bot’Ox’s second album and Red Axes’ first one.

Moscoman biography
The first mix Moscoman has ever done was when he was 10, in a mixtape he made for the girl he loved back then. She broke his heart but he decided not to let this incident interfere with his dream of becoming a dj. 20 years later, after djing in almost every club it Tel Aviv, Moscoman, now based in Berlin is releasing his debut ep on the french boutique label I'm a Cliché. With influences from a wide spectrum of both Rock and Electronic music, Moscoman manage to find a deep and unique sound that is treating to take over dance floors and hearts all over the world.

Moscoman - Misled Loophole

Secret Soul Society, aka South Wales's Cal Gibson, continues his red-hot streak of form with four original jams for Hell Yeah that effortlessly weave decades of influences into intimate, unusual sounds that go from Balearic daydreams to after-hours soul burners.

Gibson was one-half of Nottingham's deep house and downtempo outfit Neon Heights back in the 2000s, a collective that label head Marco has long admired. He has landed here before with the superb Keep The Mystique in 2023, a 15-track collection of brand new curveball cuts built from lovingly sourced samples. Since then, he has continued to collide jazz, funk, Afro, beats, dub, soul and reggae on Paper Wave and Magic Wand.

'Happy To Be' opens with gentle, sun-soaked grooves, swirling keys and dreamy pads that evoke a hazy Mediterranean sunset. Nostalgic soul samples tug at the heart while the track’s laid-back vibe is perfect for golden-hour moments. 'Orange Surprise' is a magical slice of downtempo bliss with hints of romantic vocals. It's built on soft broken rhythms and drifts between ambient soul and laid-back electronica, perfect for introspective moments or late-night winding down.

'Keep On Trying' flips the script with more texture. The synths are crystalline, the pads are sugary, and the meandering bassline unfolds in wonky fashion while soft male vocals bring a steamy edge. Last but not least, 'What You Do To Me' is funky and slow motion disco with 80s synths and reverb that drowns you in good vibes.

This EP is Secret Soul Society at his most expressive and emotive.

This May will see the return of Spanish composer and Seeking the Velvet Creative Director Cora Novoa for her forthcoming EP “In Your Mind”: a release that seeks to explore the deepest reaches of our minds through overwhelming sounds of a clearly acid and hypnotic nature, and featuring collaborations from French composer Maelstrom (Bromance/Zone), Dreems (Multi-Culti), artists Rubenimichi and audiovisual production company DG Recreation.

Following her acclaimed last album “Fight Love Faith” that marked a new direction in her artistic career, Cora Novoa unveils her darkest side with this new EP released under her very own SKTV label, an ambitious multidisciplinary project based in Barcelona.

“In Your Mind” includes remixes from Maelstrom, who showcases his analogic sound landscapes composed of long improvisations and his signature techno, and from Dreems, an artist from Canadian record label Multi-Culti, who reinterprets the track “Consciousness” until achieving a sublime balance of sonic exoticism inspired by African and Tropical music. A perfect work of “sampling” made of the most minimalist sounds released by Multi-Culti label.

The cover features an original artwork signed by Spanish art collective Rubenimichi who, in consonance with Cora Novoa’s aesthetic influences, play with symbolim and mystery elements to recreate a cosmic language that ultimately defines them. With ocultism, secrecy, darkness and magic as fundamental references of their work, they appear in perfect tune with this release.

Following their highly acclaimed video clip of “Soag” for Bpitch Control’s artist Phon.o and their “Tw33tz” for 50Weapons, the audiovisual production Company DG Recreation has produced the accompanying video clip for the central track “In Your Mind”, featuring an oneiric visual narrative as their reinterpretation of this song.

All in all, “In Your Mind” is a solid work that will lead us to Cora Novoa’s techno sounds followed by a wink to her latest African music influence: call it eclectic if you wish, but you might as well miss the point, since this artist has always strived to be nothing but herself, beyond labels and styles, in her own rich and unpredictable artistic explorations.

Divergente, with more space fulness and ethereal vibes, it develops in a relaxed flight, like gliding over a landscape examining with eagle eyes the geography of an unknown territory. The resonance of drops and bells take us between melodies that modulate gently, to dance smoothly enjoying the slow movements.

Having discovered electronic music at the end of the 90’s, @thomassjackson grew up going to raves where trance was one of the main styles played at this massive partys.
