Almost a quarter of a century on from its original release, two behemoths of the EDM scene in MATTN and Jaxx & Vega combine to deadly effect as they give Bomfunk MC’s 1999 hit ‘Freestyler’ a mainstage facelift, ready for any festival headline slot around the world! The two seasoned veterans and Smash The House regulars make it look easy as they blend elements of the original effortlessly in to a reimagined arena, where basslines thump and synths crash. It would be easy to lose sight of the original when the differing sounds are eras apart, but the experience of the two producers shines through as they do the seminal hit justice in every way!

MATTN, at just 26 years of age, is fast becoming one of, if not the most, listened to female producers in the EDM scene. Clocking in with almost 1.5m monthly listeners on Spotify alone and collaborations with the biggest and best in Martin Jensen, DJ’s From Mars and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, it is no wonder that MATTN is a name on everyone’s lips. This will be the Belgian selectors 10th single release of the year, an incredible run of top quality releases which has put her at the forefront of the scene. Jaxx & Vega is another name that needs no introduction in the world of mainstage producers, the German duo have been impressive as of late with their solo work in ‘Revival’ and collaborations in their recent remix of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s release with Akon ‘She Knows’. The Ruhr area natives are true pioneers and torch-carriers for the big room genre, never straying away from the roots of their influence while simultaneously creating unique and original moments with every release. It is this feeling that has kept the duo on top for so long!
