Elizabeth Reid has been with the New York Shambhala community since the mid 80s, having been a student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and later becoming a student of Sakyong Mipham. With a background in theatre, dance, and photography, she was inspired by the Dharma Art teachings of Shambhala, and for several years led contemplative photography workshops at the center. Realizing the importance of embodiment on the path, she became an Alexander Technique teacher and offers AT based exercises in most of her teaching. She is eternally grateful to have happened upon this lineage, these teachings and teachers, knowing that the incredible wisdom we hold is ours to call forth in these tumultuous times.

Joseph Mauricio is a teacher, speaker and Life Coach who works with private clients, couples, and groups. He offers motivational and meditation workshops in academic, business, and private sectors. Joseph began teaching twenty years ago at Karme Choling Meditation Center in Vermont and has subsequently taught in schools, businesses, nightclubs, and correctional facilities as well as meditation, wellness and community centers throughout North America. He has served as the Director of Public Programs and Outreach at the Shambhala Meditation Center of NY. Bryan Wade is a musician, and teacher based in Brooklyn, NY. He has practiced Shambhala Buddhist meditation since 1995 and taught meditation since 2004 in NYC, Vermont and Colorado. Bryan has studied closely with Shambhala teaching artists Jack Niland and Madeline Bruser, co-teaching classes with each of them. He has been a music educator since 1998, focusing on private guitar lessons and has recently created Authentic Musician Performance Training, a course for integrating musical skill with performance confidence. Bryan writes and performs as a singer/songwriter and bandleader, incorporating influences from rock, folk, blues, jazz and world music.

Filomena Leonardi has been practicing in the Shambhala tradition since 2009 and a student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche since 2016. She is a partner at a global consulting firm, focusing on leadership development. Through her work as an executive coach, she aspires to bring the principles of Shambhala Dharma to the corporate world.  Originally born and raised in Milan, Italy, Filomena has lived in several cities, including London and Sydney. She has made  New York City her home since 2005. In her (limited!) spare time, Filomena is an enthusiastic ceramics student at Greenwich House Pottery, and considers clay and the wheel her very first mindfulness teachers.
