While savvy drum and bass fans may know Fulltek by his previous moniker Blacklight, this new iteration of the Moscow-based heavy-hitter is wasting no time rising to the top.

Building off his impressive appearance on Data Music's various artist 'Keepers EP' in August , Fulltek drops four funk-fueled dancefloor groovers on the imprint to prove that he's the one to watch in the coming year.

While all four cuts on the EP hit on all cylinders, we're more than stoked to be able to premiere one of our favorite bits from the project, the aptly titled "Perfection."

Smeerlapp, a 30-year-old musician and producer from the vibrant city of Hannover, Germany, is a true connoisseur of music's transformative magic. His deep connection with music ignited at the age of 10 when the rhythmic beats of drumsticks first resonated with him, inspired by none other than his own father, a drummer. Smeerlapp's musical journey was complemented by an extensive education. He pursued a degree in music technology, culminating in a coveted Bachelor of Arts. With this expertise in hand, he ventured into the world of teaching, becoming a self-employed tutor for aspiring musicians seeking to master production techniques and guitar skills. For six years, Smeerlapp has been sharing his knowledge, empowering others to unlock their creativity and find their own unique musical voices.
In addition to his work as a musician, producer, and educator, Smeerlapp has been a mixing and mastering engineer for the past five years. With an impressive portfolio of over 200+ releases under his belt, he has fine-tuned and polished the works of numerous artists, helping them realize their sonic visions.
From the early stages of his production journey, Smeerlapp delved into the harder side of Drum & Bass, a subgenre known as neuro funk. His exploration led to his first releases on prestigious labels such as Hanzom Music and Ram Records, setting the stage for a promising career in the electronic music world.
