Roy Davis Jr. was part of Phuture and then moved on to New York to record for Strictly Rhythm and DJ Duke's Power Music label. He was one of the main players in the 1990s House Music biz and is still very active until today.

Power Music issued his first long player „The Secret Mission“ and a number of Maxis. Some of his classics got reissued in 1996, sometimes remixed, re-edited and/or a bit faster than the original versions.

This remastered edition contains four of his biggest jams, carefully remastered by Thomas P. Heckmann (TPH). „2B Or Not 2B“ and „Heart Attack“ exist in two different versions, all included as a „digital only“ bonus.

Expect the best Chicago House, „Wild Pitch“ and the New York House sound can offer: Rolling drums, heavy snares, wild filter sweeps and slammin' vocals!

We are delighted to announce that July 2023 is the month in which you will finally be able to know the new Apparel Wax product: Apparel Wax Mini. The Mini catalogue (dedicated to 7-inch vinyl) fits into the narrative of our masked hero as a sort of prequel, as the 'Mini' vinyl represents the ‘childhood’ of Apparel Wax, his life before its music started to be heard around the world. Another novelty is that the first release is double. In fact, APLWAXMINI001 and 002 will drop on the same day, both containing two tracks, one on each side. With a physical product of different size, we have also adapted the graphic design of the project, as you’ll notice looking at the record. A new adventure begins in the world of the masked artist who, this time, will tell another musical story created by the now famous anonymous collective of phenomenal artists behind the project. APLWAX002’s A side features a dynamic Disco/Dance touch and a vibrant funky feel while B side has a more Lo-Fi taste and a powerful rhythm section, both combining to create a burst of rhythm.

Retromigration's remix of 'Late Night Caller' is a voyage that kicks off with the rustling rhythm of shakers paired with harmonic chimes of piano keys. The percussion and bass follow suit, laying down a rhythm that carry some house influences into the broken beat. As the vocals come in, they are intermittent and deliberately subdued, receding into the background and giving prominence to the melancholic tones of the saxophone which gracefully intrudes into the funky beat. Halfway through the song, it morphs into a sublime embodiment of 'groovy sadness,' demonstrating Retromigration's ability to evoke complex moods through his music.

This October will see Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse imprint offer up a ten-track compilation in the shape of ‘Madhouse Amsterdam 2015’.

The Madhouse imprint was launched in 1992 by Kerri Chandler and since its inception has been a driving force in the world of underground house having released material from the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Roy Ayers, Tony Lionni and of course the label-founder himself. Here we see the label, two decades deep, continue its momentum with more hard-hitting house cuts.

Across the eleven tracks we hear the New Jersey house aficionado deliver a slew of exciting new talent via his long running imprint, with established contemporary house producer Washerman delivering fresh original material. Plus a string of newcomers such as W&O Tracks Rhythm Operator
teaming up with Blueshift for ‘Perculating Nights’,  Amsterdam’s Ghetto Chords with ‘Preacher Boy’, Greek producer Sek who delivers the rough and ready ‘Hide & Kiss’ and London’s Jason Lee Ward’ with ‘Lost In The Crowd’ plus many more.
