As this is the last mix of year ONE (back in september), i didn't look at the watch and therefore gave you an extra hour and thirty minutes bonus.

Simple Symmetry is Sasha Lipsky and Sergey Lipsky, two brothers born and raised in Moscow, united by their love for sound and motion, melodic expressionism and passion for escapism projected through a psychedelic musical journey. This mix feat. Simple Symmetry releases & remixes by the band & for them. 

About the artwork, i chose a work from Steven Harrington (cited as the leader of a contemporary Californian psychedelic-pop aesthetic, Los Angeles–based) called "WE ALL SEEM CONNECTED" and I thought that it name and the work itself was in perfect harmony with the music of Simple Symmetry. Electronic music activist since childhood, REM’s MARTINEZ didn’t take long to obtain turntables and learn to master them. Becoming DJ in 2014, he is now active and spotted by Landes stages on which he deliberately plays a music on the margins of conventional techno or house sounds.

In 2015, he founded the collective GARBURE MUSIC with his long-time partner L.HKLéon. The idea is to share their common passion for electronic music and to convey her values all over the AQUITAINE. In 2018, REM’s MARTINEZ joined the LITTLE FAMILY (DJs crew of the LITTLE FESTIVAL) in which he rediscovers a spirit of music sharing and parties.

Lover of dark and haunting lands, REM’s MARTINEZ offers a musical style oscillating between italo disco and new wave, including of course techno ☺

Turned to the production in recent years, REM’s MARTINEZ intends to take you in his retro futuristic universe whatever the way, whatever the reason !

ONE 015 Logical Records

The third and final volume of Freeride Millenium's forward-thinking IMPACT series arrives on February 25th. It is packed with left-of-centre electronic sounds from Rotciv, Chinaski, Matisa, Zombies in Miami and Nikkname.
The idea behind the Impact collection is to highlight the dance floor's importance as a place for creative thinking, sexual liberation and multicultural amplification. This was brought into sharp relief during lockdown when label boss Jorkes and Lisa Jäger had to cancel their HOT all-gender sauna parties in Vienna. It left them and their community with nowhere to go and gave rise to ‘Impact’, as well as discussions at the WAF Galerie that Lisa co-curates. Each volume has come in tandem with its own talk with subjects including 'clubs as places for freedom and emancipation.'
This final volume opens up with Rotciv. He is well known to heady crowds at places like Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson and the Cocktail D’Amore parties, and also runs the Mister Mistery label when he blends acid, techno, electro and disco. 'Dirty Coast' is a rugged and twisted dark disco stomper with flashes of synth, gurgling bass and trippy electronics. Stefan Haag aka Chinaski aka S-F-X is a sound and visual artist, a resident at Robert Johnson and a regular on the Frankfurt club's own imprint. His excellent 'Power, Flower, Violence and Shower' shoots for the stars with its cosmic synth rays, colourful disco arps and elastic bass ensuring you move every bone in your body. Born in Rome, now based in Florence, Matisa has long been attuned to the intersection of music and style and has shown it in her music on labels like Optimo Music, Biologic Records and Butter Sessions. Her 'Supernova' is a supersized track with big piano chords, techno drums and chopped-up vocals all bringing the party. Mexico's Zombies In Miami are label regulars and live artists with a dark and alluring club sound. With 'One More Time' they take the dance floor on a widescreen trip to the cosmos with rugged basslines, chattery claps uplifting old-school chords. Last of all comes another friend of the label in Vienna-based Greek artist Nikkname who alongside label boss Jorkes has released on Curses’ Ombra INTL label. His nine-minute futuristic masterclass 'Seeing Morphs' layers up serene chords and smooth grooves that are ripe for introspection as well as heads-down dancing. 
This fantastic final instalment completes the vital Impact series in style and once again comes with artwork from Daniel Rajcsany.

Roam Recordings kicks off 2022 with up and coming Canadian artist RJ Maxwell who brings forth two original electronic dance floor movers. The title track - Motherboard - is a driving energetic offering with melodic electronic underpinnings. The second original - Activate - is an upbeat chugger with a playful vocal. The EP is backed with three diverse remixes. The first is from Wonder Stories boss AIMES who infuses dark psychedelic energy into a shimmering remix of the original title track. Half of the duo Random Atlas and founder of the label ODD Pleasures; Ducati Flux AKA Max Ferrer is a chilean multi instrumentalist, producer, mixing engineer and DJ based in Berlin. 

From an early age, he has searched in music and sound design for a collision between rock and electronic music, playing in several bands, producing for different projects and soundtracks for movies. Bio :
Born at the end of the 60s and rocked by psychedelic music throughout his childhood, he went to punk then to new wave, post-punk, cold-wave, industrial & new beat until his departure for London where he discovered Acid-House & Techno music and the first raves at the end of the 80s.

DJing in the early '90s when he arrived in Toulouse (FR). Resident in various clubs and pubs in the pink city, he played here and there in France and in Europe.

Pissed off not finding the records they liked, he and his partner; Daphné, created Jellyfish Records, an international vinyl record distribution company, and record shop. During all these years, they met and worked with the cream of American and European underground electronic music producers. They stopped everything when illegal downloading arrived and killed the vinyl record market in the early 2000s.

He returned to his first love of psychedelic rock while listening to electronic music, until some time ago - Deciding to go back behind the decks, catching up with new music with yesterday's influences, integrating guitar riffs and with a rock, trance and trippy sound...
