David Storm Ruffin "Dirty Rhodes" SART1009

Chicago dj David Ruffin aka DJ Storm brings forth 3 tasty dance floor delights in his EP "Dirty Rhodes".  The title track "Dirty Rhodes" as you might expect has a Rhodes piano included. This one uses the Rhodes element to high regard over a smooth tribal groove. This can be used for late night 4 am fun , a peak moment in a moody soulful set or just a tune to relax & groove to. The 2nd track "In Motion" is a groove filled take, no prisoner dance floor jam. With instrument solos, a driving beat and sparse percussion elements this is set to work well in any situation this is included in. 
The 3rd track titled "Stoned" is definitely a dance floor banger . Normally with a name like this, a laid back groove is what you would normally hear, but this one is packed full of energy. With Latin rhythms and keys along a strong driving beat this groove does not let up. When this song is played I do not think anyone listening will be able to keep still..

Smooth Agent records tracks is proud to present "Val's Groove" by Lokua aka Joshua Kleckner. Lokua is a Chicago resident with a sound that is Chicago with bits of influences from around the world. As a true electronic musician all sounds and instruments are handcrafted, tweaked, & programmed from scratch as well. "Val's groove" is house but could also be considered deep house, minnimal, or etc..  What this track delivers is a varied, sonic filled landscape that evolves and changes. Lokua's style is a process that may seem complicated, but he never loses the energy for the dancefloor, he enhances it! The second offering from Lokua is  "Swing Set".  The vibe here is aimed strictly for the dancefloor.  This is a peak hour energy track that will get the dancers moving, jumpin & jackin. Make room cause it's going down!

On the Symbiotic EP we have 2 outings by Mr. Stewart. On "Symbiotic" we have a lush instrumentation filled late night house experience. We have smooth keys, a fat bubbly bassline and solid groove that holds it all together. On "Oh The Days" Craig takes us into acid house territory. The acid line and the 303 squelches along with Craig's beats are all done to great effect. Mr. Stewart takes back to the day while keeping it relevant for today's dance floor. On remix duty we are treated to a special version of "Symbiotic by Canada's Gene King, Veteran dj, producer and label owner of Shines Records. Gene puts his unique spin on the situation and takes you on a journey that only Mr. King can.
