"For their third release, Ordinaire is proud to present a split EP between local talent El Kazed and our Colombian friend DCM.

El Kazed starts this EP with a trademark deep house track, mixing lush pads, atmospheric leads and a driving bassline. Next we have “Liquid Pulse”, a dreamy track for one of the two collaborations between our fellows.

The B side explores a more “techy” sound. For his first solo track on Ordinaire Records, DCM provides “In Effect”, a track that will satisfy all amateurs of swingy drums with spy novel ambiance throughout. “Sensual Breakdown” finishes the release with a more contemplative flavor."

Ever since the first EP “Attic Edits” was released in 2012. The duo Moiety & Manik have been experimenting with a lot of different music projects and sounds. Even though the two long time friends have developed a more distinct and different style in their solo work, each time when they found time to jam together in the studio their energy was special and brought an interesting fusion. This resulted in their second EP “Voodoo Hoodoo” which was released on Rugged Society in 2021. While the first EP was clearly based on creative editing of lost and forgotten gems from the past (which got a lot of attention because of the track “You’re Gone” that seemed to blow up overnight), Voodoo Hoodoo was an EP that took a turn to electronic and tribal music with a unique take on it. Finally after 3 years the 3rd EP “YOU” is ready to be shared with the world. Again this is another turn in music style and as playful and creative as always, but now inspired by soul, hip hop and the electronic music they love. Enjoy!
