With two recent Juno awards and a SOCAN Award to his credit and a slew of recent commissions by internationally recognized touring artists such as violinist Hilary Hahn, percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, soprano Suzie Leblanc, flutist Susan Hoeppner, the Pacifica Quartet and Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra among others, as well as pop celebrities, such as George Dalaras, Sarah Slean and Steven Page,  Christos Hatzis is widely recognized as “one of the most important composers writing today” (CBC) and "a contemporary Canadian master" (New Yorker.) An unusually large number of performances and CD recordings of his music for Naxos, EMI, Analekta, Sony, CBC and other major and independent labels as well wide internet distribution of his audio playlist (over 1,700,000 hits since 2008) have garnered a loyal international following for his music. Recent and current work includes the premiere and US and European tour of Coming To and Dystopia by violinist Hilary Hahn, Lamento, a song cycle for pop singer Sarah Slean and Symphony Nova Scotia in April, Departures, Hatzis' second flute concerto, which premiered in August 2011 by Susan Hoeppner and the Kyoto Symphony and in September by Patrick Gallois and the Thessaloniki State Orchestra and will be recorded for upcoming CD releases in 2012. Recent and upcoming orchestral tours include Hatzis' Telluric Dances with the Thessaloniki State Orchestra, which culminated in a concert at the Herod Atticus open amphitheatre at the foothill of the Acropolis in Athens last June; Mirage? with Dame Evelyn Glennie and the Berlin Chamber Orchestra in October and Pyrrichean Dances, with the Wiener Concert Verein in November. Hatzis’ music is influenced by early Christian spirituality, Pythagorean and Hermetic ideas, his own Byzantine music heritage, world cultures and religions, and various classical, jazz and pop music idioms from the past and present. He is a believer in borderless culture and the uninhibited flow of cultural information. Hello and thank you for visiting my Soundcloud page! Soundcloud is one place I especially like to 'catch up' with my friends' works and discover new music. On many of my tracks you'll notice that I have collaborated with a ton of amazing musicians from Toronto and around the globe which is an honour for me.  My creative work is so much about the people who I create for and with, people who I share ideas with and all kinds of musical influences. Bio:
Allison Cameron is a composer of chamber works that have been performed throughout Europe and North America; she is also an experimental performer.
Her works have been performed at numerous festivals and numerous ensembles have commissioned her. She co-founded the Drystone Orchestra in 1989 and founded the Arcana Ensemble in 1992, both dedicated to the performance of experimental music in Toronto. During 2000-2005, she was the artistic director of the Arraymusic ensemble where she created the Scratch! festival for experimental music. Her chamber music has been released on Redshift, XI records, CRI, Spool, Supermusique, Hevhetia, Musicworks, Rat-Drifting and others. Since 2000 Allison has been improvising with small, amplified objects in collaboration with many of Toronto’s finest musicians and also internationally respected performers. In 2007 she formed the group The Allison Cameron Band with Eric Chenaux and Stephen Parkinson to write music for two guitars and banjo from which a CD was released on the Rat-Drifting label.  Allison also performs in the improvising music trio c_RL (pronounced curl) with Germaine Liu (percussion) and Nicole Rampersaud (trumpet). 

Current projects include: a CD release on the critically acclaimed UK label Another Timbre with performances by Apartment House https://anothertimbre.bandcamp.com/album/somatic-refrain, a forthcoming recording of solo improvised pieces on Squint Press (Toronto), and a Bandcamp release from a quartet with Sandro Perri, Josh Cole and Nicole Rampersaud and myself called Shoo: Horn.

Rose Bolton is one of Canada’s most innovative and multi-faceted composers. She has been creating full-length film scores for broadcasters such as CBC, TVO, Arte and Super Channel for over a decade. She also has a thriving compositional practice creating electronic and instrumental music for innovative multimedia projects, as well as for concert performers. These concert compositions include major works such as Song of Extinction, a 45 minute work for Toronto’s Luminato festival and created in collaboration with filmmaker Marc de Guerre and Griffin Award winning poet Don McKay. Other recent concert and electronic works include a piece for the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony with ambient electronics, and a sound and video installation at the Canadian Music Centre for Toronto’s Nuit Blanche. Her concert music has been performed across Canada by Canada’s leading ensembles, including the Vancouver Symphony, the Esprit Orchestra. Rose Bolton has a Masters degree in composition from McGill University.

Dr. Matthew Emery is a Canadian composer who “writes with an honesty which enchants” (Vancouver Sun), and whose music is “profoundly beautiful and moving” (CBC Music).  His music has been performed in twenty-seven countries, and recent performance venues include the Great Wall of China, the White House and the Musikverein. Matthew has received over forty commissions and his music has been performed by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Chamber Choir, Elmer Iseler Singers, National Youth Orchestra of Canada, National Youth Choir of Canada, European Union Youth Orchestra, Orchestra London, the Art of Time Ensemble, Rolston String Quartet, Dennis Wick Canadian Wind Orchestra, Erin Wall, Susan Platts, Rena Sharon, Simone Osborne, Leslie Fagan, Tracy Dahl, and the Bach Music Festival of Canada Orchestra.

Matthew studied at the University of British Columbia (B.Mus) and the University of Toronto (M.Mus, DMA). Matthew has received over thirty awards and prizes for his compositions and his work has been included on nineteen albums, including a Juno nominated disc. His over sixty publications are published by G. Schirmer, Boosey & Hawkes, Hal Leonard and many others.

Dr. Emery currently teaches at Carleton University, and the University of Toronto
