Hello music people, we are delighted to officially announce the brand new Nocturnal Hazard sister label Esfinge Edits run by Sphynx People, my studio-only side project in collaboration with two mysterious music producers from the UK. This forthcoming sister label will be strictly dedicated to release slowed down discofied balearic-minded sounds and we can’t resist to upload the first mix installment of the "Music For Stoners & Lovers" mix series some weeks before to introduce you on the sound of this new label adventure for the Sphynx People boys that we been curating together for months. We selected some slowed down tunes carefully from our music collections that range from disco not disco, balearics, house, new beat, AOR, new-wave, synth-pop, italo, worldy jams, reggae, experimental and more eclectic non-dancefloor trippy stuff to put out interesting one hour studio mixes on Soundcloud for your ear pleasure mixed with love by the Sphynx People members. The debut four-track EP on Esfinge Edits still on the works and will be out on further months of this year. In the mean time, we hope you enjoy the first mix of the Esfinge Edits mix series. Release date, audio previews and more details of our debut release to be announced soon!

MIKA SNICKARS
- DJ, Producer and Founder of the "Snickars Records" vinyl record shop est 1995.

Born and raised in a Northern suburb of Stockholm, Sweden.

Started DJing in 3rd grade at School Discos and community youth centers.

Early influences were dad's Jazz record collection, his older sisters reggae and disco cassettes and local radio shows like Brother Memos "Funk Department", Rinkeby International, FMAK, Disco 91 to name a few.

Mikas DJ style originates from Hip-Hop and has developed throughout the years by
working many different type of crowds.

Genre wise, Mika has been working with both Hip-Hop and Dance as well as the current retro scenes - Disco, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Afro, Balearic etc.

Was involved in the Early Rave scene in Stockholm and have had numerous resident nights since.
In his strive to touch up his DJ skills, Mika has participated in the DMC Swedish DJ championships which he finally won in 1998.

During 1995-2000 he was touring with his Turntablist crew- Scratchaholics.

Mika has been involved in some local music productions and also did re-edits for Finnish Record Labels - Lifesaver and Sähkö Recordings.

Recently, Mika has been putting out edits on his own acetate imprints.
Mika Snickars is a recurrent name in the Scandinavian nightlife.

Current direction for Mika is to go deeper and explore more music both new and old.

Mika is also the second half of Svenska Disco Kyrkan.

Svenska Disco Kyrkan is DJ Mika Snickars & Kool DJ Dust, a DJ/producer duo from Stockholm, Sweden.
