Coyote teams up with Quinn Luke Lamont for a one off collaboration. Quinns vocals add a distinctly yachty feel to Coyote's chuggy early evening acid groove. Project Sandro tighten up the percussion and strip the vocals back and create a dreamy more contemplative warm weather shuffler.

Under the moniker Santino Surfers, the Danish guitarist Jonas Krag has moulded a career’s worth of guitar mastery into a new, singular artistic expression. A surfing, jangling laid-back, chilled-out instrumentally driven rock music teeming with melody and atmosphere.
 
‘Moondancing’ is a taste of the second album to come from Krag, set to be released on the Copenhagen-based label Music For Dreams in 2025.

Santino Surfers - Moondancing - s0829

Reykjavik-born and bred producer, Tonarunur is no stranger to Dream Chimney, as he’s appeared on a number of compilations on the label going back to 2019. As we enter 2025, Tonarunur is poised for his debut release.

A four-track EP titled Geimotheque is set to come out on January 24th on @the-dream-chimney, a San Francisco-based record label and one of the best music websites out there. Music is My Sanctuary has the pleasure to premiere the EP’s closer – “Lifting Off”, an aptly-titled, 11-minute long, spacey, fusion disco epic.

Aura Safari's richly immersive Island Dreams album has been remixed by a selection of artists close to Hell Yeah. Ahead of them releasing their own originals on the label in 2025, SIRS, Calm, Dawn Again, Secret Soul Society and Aura Safari themselves all contribute to the collection which is out on 14 March.

First up, Japanese downtempo hero Calm offers up a signature Mellow Mellow Acid remix and dub version of 'Sur Mon Balconnet' that is smooth and zoned out as cosmic synths and gentle acid loops ripple next to whimsical reeds. New Balearic beat boss My Friend Dario's take on 'Riserva Naturale' is a percussive tropical jumble with lots of open space for deep thinking. Sirsounds Records label head SIRS returns to the label after his Woman EP earlier this year. He flips 'Wave Riding' into a loose-limbed and funky sound with 80s pads and well-treated vocal hooks. He also adds his own snappy drums and ass-wiggling basslines to 'Disco Mantra'.

Dawn Again dropped his widely acclaimed 'pubwave' album last year and has already backed it up with more escapist originals in 2025. His version of 'Wave Riding' casts you free from land and floats you out to sea on a raft of rubbery bass and widescreen synths. Secret Soul Society aka Cal Gibson, one-half of Nottingham's deep house and downtempo outfit Neon Heights back in the 2000s, steps up to rework 'Dancing in the Moonlight'. It's a dubbed out Afro disco number with playful horns and wobbly rhythms. Elsewhere Aura Safari rework several of their own originals with new dub versions that bliss them out for ever deeper dance floor trips.

This collection brings an array of new yet sympathetic perspectives to the still magical originals.

Roberto Intrallazzi and Dario Piana, two unheralded sons of Italy’s original Afro-cosmic movement of the 1980s, have joined forces in the studio for the first time. The result is the 99% Stories EP, a collaborative debut for Leng inspired by the formative years of the duo’s near 45-year friendship and their shared musical roots.

The duo both started DJing in and around Milan in 1981, drawing inspiration from pioneering contemporary Daniele Baldelli. Intrallazzi found international success following the birth of Italy’s distinctive house scene, collaborating with other like-minded producers as part of FPI Project and Cube Guys, while Piana continues to be a prolific solo artist whilst also working extensively with mentor and friend Baldelli.

The EP begins with ‘Out Of Control’, a dubbed-out cosmic disco chugger with guitar snippets, spoken word samples and sonic textures over a percussive beat and low-slung bass guitar line. Fellow long-serving Italian LTJ Xperience drops a remix that highlights the acid-flecked electronic sounds, rubbery bass and hypnotic beats in his trademark style.

Intrallazzi and Piana explore the middle ground between psychedelic, pitched down acid and cosmic-disco on ‘Lazise’, offering up a blend of percussion-enhanced beats, undulating 303 motifs and intergalactic electronics, before once more reaching for the bass guitar to drive the vibraphone, bleeps, keys and vocal enhanced midtempo shuffle of ‘Saocraffen’.

The digital version of the EP has bonus cut: ‘SP-15’. Named in honour of the Technics turntables used by Daniele Baldelli at the iconic Cosmic Club – where he first showcased his hybrid and decidedly psychedelic ‘Afro-Cosmic’ DJ style – the track is murky, immersive, trippy and picturesque in equal measure, with waves of glistening synth sounds and musical flourishes winding in an out of a charred, midtempo cosmic disco groove. We have no doubt that Baldelli approves!

In his native soil of Denmark, Jonas Visti is best known for his radio show Visti’s Vinyls, in which he journeys time and space in search of interesting sounds – whether dusty afro-beat, Ethiopian jazz virtuosos or obscure 70’s Tropicalia.
 
His new project, Visti’s Vinyl Collective, extends the musical ethos of his radio program into a creative force of its own. Gathering some of the finest talent on the Danish jazz scene – and inviting a small selection of international guest features – Visti has crafted an album of manifold styles but a singular ethos: warm, positive, colorful music for a world that could use it.
 The album, Vol. 1, will be available on the Copenhagen-based imprint Music For Dreams on February 14th 2025.
 
The album is written and produced in collaboration with William Winding whose electronic influence can be heard on several tracks. Emma Sehested Høeg, Dawda Jobarteh and Markus Artved have also written music on the album.
