This started as a group of 5 loops, all increasing in intensity, for a game made for the pirate game jam on itch.io.  

I really loved the hook when I made it and I knew I wanted to use it in something but it sat alone for a few months as just 4 bars and a basic drum track while I worked on other projects.  I felt like doing a boss battle theme and decided to finish it up when the opportunity for the game jam appeared.

Evacuation: Cascade Imminent

The Dark Sun is the penultimate track for the People of The Sun album. These are our final moments in space, when we find comfort in what remains and know that there is no plan B, no other place to go, we are stuck with what we have and what we have will not last forever. It is perishing.

A final glimpse of light, before darkness arises. The end is near.
