With only a few official releases under their belt, Toronto's ZEDS DEAD (Hooks & DC) have risen to the top of a new generation of bass music through a relentless tour schedule and America's newfound love for dubstep.  "Rumble In The Jungle" is to say the least, a tropical monster. Starting with a playful tribal drum beat that percolates through the entire track, you are soon met by an intensifying wave of excitement that drops into a pool of beastly baselines and ripping synths. Like the best of their live sets, this track lands in some undefinable place between genres. Doesn't matter what you call it, "Rumble" bangs.

Ijsbrand & Gert had always wanted to create balkan inspired music, and hence came the duo Stavroz. Beyond just sharing the same musical tastes, these two buddies bond over both being sound engineers (live for Ijs, studio for Gert), which makes them real "goldsmiths" behind each and every production (such can be seen in this short clip which presents their title 'The Ginning'). 
Their music is imprinted with original inspirations while keeping to a jazzy/burlesque influence, leaving little to be left displeased. The bridge, so it seems, borderlines between minimal and jazz-house.

The first title of the EP, 'The Ginning' is constructed around guitarist, Max Honckelinx. The track’s instrumental harmony is skilfully constructed by the duo as they borderline minimal and deep house.

The second original title of the EP, 'The Finishing' is merely a dialogue between a rhythmic stratospheric universe and the sax of Nathan Daems, well preserved from the first studio recording. The end result leaves us with 8 minutes of lyricism soaked in sophistication and technicality.

In regards to the remixes, Felkon, who has been presented several times before on the Délicieuse, takes on 'The Ginning' by including vocals which create a more dance-like ambiance. 
Britta Arnold, a legendary pioneer from Bar 25 and Katerholzig, worked on 'The Ginning' as well with Sascha Cawa. They delivered a version more obscure yet wickedly effective.

As for the remixes of 'The Finishing', Powel continues to captivate us while executing his deep and melancholic twists. He entirely redesigns the piece’s structure by retiring the "voice" of the sax. 
And then there’s our man, Viken Arman, who spins his version of 'The Finishing' by refiguring the rhythm pattern and adding a new dimension to the bass.

French duo Reflex is back for its second single the thunderous 'Together' out 17th June 2013 TBC on Continental records.
Reflex is the unstoppable couple, based in the south of France near Montpellier, who erupted on the scene early 2012 with debut single 'Wavering' (and its ecstatic JBAG remix), a song one can only cherish fondly, just like priceless memories. Indie-dance? Electro-rock? Discopop? Who cares? You can hear influences, conscious or not, Chilly Gonzales, Italians Do It Better, Aeroplane, the synth pop classics and more. yet Reflex's music claims nothing more than spreading balearic love for the soul. and the bodies on the dancefloor.

Yet Lud & André aren't about reviving the 70s nor the 80s. If anything the past decades inspire them to be challenging, show that electronic music can still be exciting by offering people songs and emotions that aren't simply formulaic. Ultimately their desired Mediterranean lifestyle, the sun, the sea. have only but galvanized their inspiration. The pair can't get away from the studio, writing and remixing non-stop (they've lately given the Reflex touch to Black Strobe, Juveniles, Continental's Shindu and Kill The Hero.). Always on the move, gigging or deejaying in clubs and festivals alike, they've just completed a 10 dates US tour which included SXSW, L.A., Vegas. and culminated in Hawaii. 

As a result of all those late night outs, Reflex have decided to hit the dancefloor hard for their second single. 'Together' is gospel music according to The Haçienda's evangelism - big piano breakdowns, hands-in-the-air, sweaty smiles abound. and the lead vocal celebrating the night away and beautiful newfound friendships. Dare we say housey? Oui, but à la Mancunian with a French twist please.

'Together' comes in four versions, the glorious original and 3 remixes from a solid international cast. First in line is Vancouver's Pat Lok who gets the tech stabs out without losing any of the fluo groove. Next come Japan's finest Boys Get Hurt who slow things down, bringing additional developments whilst remaining grand and epic. Last but not least Zurich dj on the rise Ryan Riot expressively takes the song into the euro zone.

Walter Sobcek is a French duo from Paris.

Since 2011, Sobcek have been generating serious blog heat around the world thanks to a handful of beautifully constructed official remixes (Housse de Racket, Bastille, Chilly Gonzales, Sebastien Schuller among others) and the release of 4 EPS (Je me souviens, Miami Midnight Crush, Take Off Your Shoes) which brought them also to mainstream exposure on french TV (M6, W9, MTV Pulse....)

In 2012, their cover of the Hall and Oates classic “She´s Gone” was picked by Les Inrockuptibles to feature on their covers compilation with among other Hot Chip, Brigitte and José Gonzalès.
