Tehuti Wisdom

The Khemitian Master of Masters Tehuti, also known as Thoth or Hermes for the greeks, is the master of wisdom, the scribe of god. He is responsible for all human knowledge, he is the master of learning, writing, science, art and magic. Tehuti is usually portrayed as a baboon, an ibis, or a man with an ibis head. Thoth was the founder of all major disciplines such as science, astrology philosophy, alchemy and magic. The Greeks extended Thoth’s wisdom by including mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and theology. For both the Khemitians and Greeks, Tehuti was venerated and honored as the Master of knowledge and wisdom. Most myths speak of Thoth as a man with impeccable persuasive and speaking skills. The ancient khemit wisdom has been lost for thousands of years. Our goal at Sounds of Khemit is to bring back this knowledge to society to serve the world from Tehuti's fountain of wisdom and knowledge. We believe that one of the biggest hidden wisdoms is the way ancient khemitians use sound.  Sound as a source of vibrations and frequencies, not only able to spread joy and happiness but also able to heal mental and physical states. Many mysteries surround ancient Khemit, e.g. the constructions of the pyramids. Sound could be one key to decipher ancient methods like these.

Chill Out Gardens  | Boom Festival 2014

On Nov 6th, 2013 the world music community lost a prolific contributor and friend, Cheb i Sabbah. I had the pleasure of knowing him through DJing with him, as well as hiring him for several festivals...and of course listening and dancing to him for 20 years. This morning I spontaneously put this little mix together that includes many of the artists he worked with...thank you to my dear friend Gaudi ( https://soundcloud.com/gaudi) and his brief interview with Cheb I which became the intro to this mix.

May the music serve as the flame at his altar...

Andshe fuhr letztens mit uns nach Leipzig zum Auftakt unserer zweiten Sea-Watch Solitour und begeistert uns direkt, sowohl  künstlerisch als auch menschlich. Als Teil der Kollektive @kybelean und @rolandsons-seasidetrip war sie uns schon sehr nah, doch nun lernten wir sie endlich persönlich kennen und luden sie auch gleich zu unserem neu aufgelegten Resocast ein.
Sie ist DJ und Produzentin und veröffentlichte ihren ersten Track in der Hystereofonica Compilation über @tropicaltwistarecords. Mit einer erstaunlichen Sensibilität erkundet sie die Grenzen des Downtempo-Genres und lässt raushören, dass sie von der dunklen Berliner Szene beeinflusst und begeistert ist. So wie wir von ihr!

The award winning and genre bending Danish band Kalaha consists of the two electronic  producers Rumpistol &amp; Spejderrobot plus the live drummer Emil de Waal and guitarist Niclas Knudsen. 
On "Eymen" they are joined by Turkish singer Hilal Kaya on vocals on a track that pays tribute to Turkish psych-funk of the seventies.
The remix is the product of a chance meeting, a sonic soundclash in July 2019 where Kenneth 'Junglelyd' Rasmussen invited fellow Aarhus-based producer Merlyn Silva and Cuzco's own HUAYNOTto join him DJing on a scorching summer day at the city's annual 'Bas Under Buen' festival. After a tropical set of latin vibes, dub effects and Andean flute jams, they decided to form a production collective together, with the centerstone of their shared love of Cumbia. Already big fans of Kalaha, the group were thrilled to get the opportunity to remix Eymen, and add their twist of peak-time latin grooves with a psychedelic twist.
