Nibana is In Focus with a great talk embracing realms from darkpsy to psybient and psybass, and all surrounding Earth From Above. Don't miss his special mix after the interview.

Nibana is the project of Kevin B, a French producer born and raised in France.
Greatly influenced by Pink Floyd, Tool, Aphex Twin and others, from the age of 10 years Kevin started self-taught production by practicing all the instruments he could find and create all kind of music styles without limitations.

From the creation of a metal band to his electronic project in 2012, many influences can be found in Nibana's Live-Acts : From his Chillout side (Psybient / Downtempo), melodic and aerial, including guitar leads, chant and raw synths, to his total opposite Psytrance project with industrial and intelligent fxs surounded by deep and dark atmospheres and melodies.

In 2014, he released a new album entitled "ASK THE UNIVERSE" on Maia Brasil Records. Without any expectations, it exceeded the 15,000 downloads in less than 3 months and made Nibana in the top 3 "Upcoming Artist" on Psybient.org also chillout top 1 album on reddit & stayed at the top charts of Ektoplazm for more than 2 months.

In 2015, Nibana signed his Psytrance side on OVNI Records and released in April 2016 his brand new album "TALES OF THE UNCANNY" including two collaborations with Ajja and Mark Day. TOTU was praised as one of the most unexpected and best releases of the year.

He already had the opportunity to play on international parties & festivals such as Ozora (Hungary), All Stars (Canada), Shankra (Switzerland) and is currently working (or had worked) with multiple renowed artists of the psychedelic scene.

Prepare yourself for a journey from the brightest corners to the deepest depths of your brain.

Harmony amongst people is often described as emotional and intellectual unison. Determined by communication we can realise the degree of harmony in our togetherness. Friendship and love are the highest goals of harmony. Feeling understood on several levels enforces the human bond and builds a layer of trust that leads us to a peaceful state of mind.

Likeminded people gather to celebrate a particular moment for the purpose of harmony. We see the electronic music movement as a form of expression that unites people in harmony. Everybody should have the chance to identify and align with this idea. The higher goal is to end conflicts and war, a mutual understanding is the first step to world peace and therefore a human right. 

Whenever we feel a disharmonic relation, there is a chance of learning and improving the world. The inner conflict of disharmonic situations is driving us into emotional ways of thinking and acting. 

The cover artwork "City Lights“ from Stephen Magsig has inspired us to dedicate this album to harmony and embrace all forms of it.

Here's not much to say about this young man. To describe him shortly: DJ and promoter, booking agent and label owner, curator and catalyser, established Riotvan single-handed in 2006. Starting as series of events and growing up to a record label. Maybe you know him already as drummer of the band Here Is Why. He was playing in several clubs and parties like Berghain Panoramabar, Robert Johnson, Blitz, Burning Man Festival or in New York City, Mexico, Moscow, London, Copenhagen, Novosibirsk, Stockholm to name but a few…. This guy is off to explore the world. We may be wound up to a high pitch.

acclaimed storytellers and producers. His attraction to Acid-House and FunkyDis-
co led him to turntables over two decades ago. MoM’s sonic quest is elegant,

deep and anything but indifferent, but a hallmark of continuous discovery and
good taste – perfect to celebrate and bring the whole crowd on an amazing ride
through vibrations.
The profound and exquisite ethnic elements acquires great importance on his DJ

set and live set. In his pursuit of bridging music, technology and culture, he crea-
tes the band “Mosáfires”, formed by three musicians, where they fuse electro-
nics with “Sephardic music”.

Currently, he is one of the most outstanding Spanish artists internationally.
He has published in DeNature, Underyourskin, Bar25, Still vor Talent, LDKHN,
Cosmic Awakenings among others and he has collaborated with artists such as:
Acid Pauli, Holed Coin, Alvaro Suarez or ANüT.
Throughout these last years he has played in cities like New York, Los Angeles,
Miami, Moscow, Toronto, London, Paris, Berlin, Instanbul, Vienna, Tunisia, Dubai,
Bali, Jakkarta and Mexico DF among others.

Since May of 2017, he coproduces with JZ: “HOME, Land of Bes”, a journal ra-
dio

In this month’s Sofa Beat Records show you can hear a mix by HERRHAUSEN & TREINDL!

Laid-back euphoria and slow-motion ecstasy: The music of Herrhausen & Treindl comes with rather low BPM count, but with an extremely high catchiness and danceability. It was 2012 when the two of them met in a recording studio, back then still in search of the perfect sound for others. They quickly realized that at the end of their working days there was still a whole lot of creative energy left. Their first mutual sessions turned out to be extremely productive, their musical backgrounds turned out to be a great source of inspiration. Treindl used to play the drums, exploring rhythmic structures from Funk to Hip Hop and beyond, while Herrhausen was touring with a Ska combo as a young chap. Together they combine a slow movement approach with complex arrangements, creating a style of electronic music that takes festival and party dancefloors by storm with early morning sound as glorious as it gets!
