The artwork has been thinking by the label in collaboration with the micro photographer
Peter Juzak, shooting the Menthol effects here through a microscope.
Highlighting the new Rituel Recordings label identity, the Mixtape will be released on all
digital platforms for pre-order July 16th, 2021, the day of the Rituel Days festival

This fusion of psychedelic sounds and Indigenous elements pays homage to the traditional ways of life in Australia.
It's an honor to be able to bring this music to the world. We are eternally grateful to Coedie McCarthy, Jannali Doncaster and Kiaron Assan for sharing their culture, recordings and artwork with Crooks for this incredibly special release...This is the sound of Australia.

What a pleasure to open the floor for the lovely @l0ttal0ve @riyoon @ninze and @pi_cao - one of those nights where I should have left early but just couldnt stop dancing 😆

This set is one of my favorites so far as the sounds are really a true reflection of my inner world. I also hoped to honor female artists through the beginning of the set. Thank you to everyone who lit up the dancefloor with their smiles and vibes, it has left me feeling so full of happiness and gratitude 💓

I keep my hopes on, meine Augen offen, beobachte die Welt vor mir, vergesse was hinter mir vergeht. Gehe durch die Straßen, trete auf nassgrauen Asphalt, stolper über Stock und Stein, gehe weiter und kneife die trockenen Augen zusammen. Auf der Suche nach den Farben. Ein Knopfdruck und meine kabellosen Kopfhörer schirmen die Welt um mich ab, löschen den Lärm aus meinem Kopf. Die Vorstellung beginnt, Kopfkino, Stereo Sound. Eile weiter, schiebe mich durch die Straßen und an der nächsten Ecke links aufs Abstellgleis. Will Platz machen für die, die noch schnell fahren können, die bereits im Frühjahr den Motor gewechselt haben, neuer Sprit, neue Riemen. Gleich gehts weiter, denk ich mir. Nur nochmal kurz ausatmen. Und während ich so stehe und um mich blicke, sehe ich sie. Die Farben. An den Balkonen, an den Bäumen, kleine Knospen und Blüten. Ich reibe mir die Augen und atme lange ein. Mache die Musik lauter und laufe los, einfach los, ohne Ziel. Strecke meine Arme in die Luft und renne, dem Frühling entgegen, @najesh_and_artisoko im Ohr. Endlich!

Es war kurz nach 10.
Die MainStage hatte gerade ihre letzten Töne von sich gegeben als sich eine kleine Menge an Leuten vor uns in der Jurte versammelte. Wir spielten schon seit etwas mehr als einer Stunde. 
Viertel nach 10 und wir stellen mit Erstaunen fest, dass niemand in dieser Jurte am reden war.
Die Augen waren geschlossen.
Barfüßig schwebten die Menschen über die Teppiche.
Kuschelnd lagen oder saßen sie im Raum verteilt.
Es war eine perfekte Landung.

Diese Nacht wird uns beiden noch sehr lange in schönster Erinnerung bleiben. 

Wir freuen uns die gefühlvollen Klänge der Entschleunigung, aus der Sonntagnacht, mit euch zu teilen und träumen uns und euch in die Jurte zurück.

Along the way, shamans and visionaries developed sacred rituals, carrying the connection between music, movement and spirit through time. These traditions still live on today.

This truly unique and surreal journey passionately crafted by our dear friend, producer and sound weaver @medi-zijn is a subtle reminder that every beat, every movement is part of an ancient, timeless story – a dance that has been unfolding for millennia. Let yourself move, feel and connect.

After a small break we are back with a new deep stories. This time its a special emotional mix with an urgent message. We are more than happy to have wilson.solidarity on our podcast series.

wilson.solidarity is a German DJ with Bengali roots – a cultural and personal background that deeply shapes his sound. His sets move within the realm of slower, driving techno, often infused with hip-hop influences. His music is never just functional – it tells stories. Stories of identity, resistance and belonging. As an member of the collectives Rebellion der Träumer (@rebelliondertraumer) and Tanz mit den Sternen(@nrzp), he shares his vision of a better world through his music. Music against racism!

His set closes with a poem that pays tribute to the victims of the racist attack in Hanau and serves as a reminder that racism is not a distant problem, but a lived reality for many. By embedding this message into the podcast, he creates space for both joy and awareness. Thank you wilson for your music and for reminding us that techno is for everyone!

deep story nr. 225 | remember | by wilson.solidarity

Hekske (the little witch) and Falke (the witch apprentice) gazed at the bright light of the near full supermoon and they were already feeling excited about their next witch coven. But this month, their bodies started to feel ticklish one day earlier than normal, so the witches decided to take off and fly in South-Eastern direction, following their inner compass. The girls flew much further than ever before, to a land which was much warmer than their home forest in Flanders. It was also drier, yet way more varied and diverse, a mosaic of Mediterranean shrublands interspersed with lush green valleys with olive and fig trees, which the girls had never seen with their own eyes before.
The girls flew straight towards a low mountain range, which was greener and cooler than the coastal areas. Then they saw a woman waving at them at the foot of an old tree. Hekske and Falke sensed that this woman was a witch and that they had reached their destination.
The witches gently touched down and got a warm welcome from the witch, who introduced herself as Suha. She pointed at the olive tree and told her guests that the tree had the same age as herself… a bit over 2000 years!!
Hekske and Falke looked in disbelief at each other and realized that the history of this part of the world goes much further back in time than in Western Europe. In fact, this area is the cradle of the sisterhood of witches! Suha explained that they were in the middle of the lush green Ajloun Mountains. For a long time, she was the only Palestinian witch left in the area, and she admitted that it was too much work to take care of all the trees. But now a new generation of witches is rising up. Suha pointed in the distance where 6 young witch apprentices were running towards them. The girls were full of energy and fire and gave a lot of hugs to their European guests. Soon these young witches would be ready to take care of the trees in all corners of the Levant, replacing non-native plants by native species, in order to restore the original ecosystem of this part of the world.
Then one of the girls pointed at the sky and they saw 3 witches flying towards them. These were all friends of Suha: Mona from Mount Druze, Hannah from Mount Carmel and Juliana from the Beqaa Valley. The people from this part of the world rarely get along these days, but inside the sisterhood of witches it’s all friendship, respect and love.
Suha led her guests to a nearby river, where they all slipped out of their white dresses and took a refreshing bath in the crystal-clear water, after which Suha gave new dresses to all her guests and to the 6 apprentices. These long dresses were all white with beautiful green, black and red patterns along the seams. Suha and the 6 girls had been working for 10 days to stitch these dresses together. They all tried their dresses on, and miraculously these were all a perfect fit. After this, Mona took her bag and pulled out another surprise: she had brought apricot paste from Syria (which is known to have the finest apricots in the world). The women immediately started preparing Qamar al-Din, a sweet traditional apricot juice. 
And Suha had also prepared ma’amoul, which are semolina cookies filled with figs, dates and pistachios from nearby groves. All the girls enjoyed these delicious cookies with Arabic coffee and a touch of cardamom. 
The women had such a great time that they hadn’t noticed the sun had already gone down. This would be the start of a long and unforgettable night, full of mystic ceremonies and ecstatic dances…

This song is about celebrating the ideologies of the traditional owners of this land. Past and present.
The aboriginal people are a very generous and respectful culture. No matter which of the many tribes you look at, you will find they all share the philosophy of having a symbiotic relationship with all things great and small. Living in touch with the earth and the spirit.
This track features Jannali Doncaster. He is a young Yaegul, Bunjalung man from the Northern Rivers of New South Whales, and also a close friend.
Jannali's totem is the kookaburra and in his surreal embodiment he channels the energy of his ancestors through song and dance.
The main spoken words of this track are by the late Stephan Goldsmith, from the Kaurna tribe of the Adelaide Plains. The power of Stephan's message is undeniable.
