Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

As I went over to say goodbye I saw that the expression of bewilderment had come back into his face, as though a faint doubt had occurred to him as to the quality of his present happiness. Almost five years! There must have been moments even that afternoon when Daisy tumbled short of his dreams—not through her own fault but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion. It had gone beyond her, beyond everything. He had thrown himself into it with a creative passion, adding to it all the time, decking it out with every bright feather that drifted his way. No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart. As I watched him he adjusted himself a little, visibly. His hand took hold of hers and as she said something low in his ear he turned toward her with a rush of emotion. I think that voice held him most with its fluctuating, feverish warmth because it couldn’t be over-dreamed—that voice was a deathless song. Volzigt is turning things downside up on his own unique way. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can guide you to a different world. OneRec, Thommie G, Funkenschleuder and Planet Caravan are taking the dust out of the corners of your mind.

This EP is inspired by the cultural heritage which the Argentines and Chileans seek to perpetuate. Ulises has developed cultural and emotional bonds towards the natives, whose struggles he feels and shares. Struggles for their own traditions, their own lands and their own existence. Thanks to the resistance of cultures like the Mapuche we can now enjoy traditional melodies and instruments, such as kultrungs, charangos and quenas, that Ulises skilfully merges with an electronic timber palette to achieve the deep organic sound that we can appreciate in this EP. 
Uña pays homage to the acclaimed quena player Uña Ramos, from the mountainous Jujuy province. Pewünguen derives from a chant in Mapudungun, the Mapuche language, that celebrates the rebirth of nature in spring. Here, the artist adopts the same chant metaphorically, to wish the rebirth of the Mapuches. 
Musician by formation, Ulises plays guitar, keyboard, and drums. Such multi-instrumental skills provide him with a broad range of sounds to blend and wedge into the electronic beat. Talking about the aesthetic he craves, Ulises stated “I want to have the possibility to choose any timber from any source I feel the music needs. No limits!” …and limitless is his desire to explore the vastness of sounds, to experiment new combinations. 
Besides the original tracks, the EP comprises four gems by Carrot Green, Steffen Kirchoff, Arutani, Coss & Iorie, who remixed Ulises’ productions.

Wir brauchen keine Böller, denn das hier knallt auch ordentlich rein!
Ein holpriges Jahr stolpert dem Ende entgegen und alle Welt fiebert einer besseren Fortsetzung von 2019 entgegen. Für unsere Disko war aber auch Zw0-20 ein gelungenes Jahr. Wir haben unserer erste Kompilation in den Äther gejagt, sind in der Label und Vereinsplanung einen Schritt weiter gekommen, und auch so haben wir tausende Ohrenpaare mit schöner und Abwechslungsreicher Musik beglücken können. Ohne NYE-Party wollen wir euch aber auch nicht dastehen lassen. Dafür hat Faultier Stelze ein leckeres Potpourri an Disko und Hüfttschwungclassics zusammengefriemelt, perfekt für die Abendstunden zwischen euren liebsten Mittieren.
