DLR has launched his solo career with an astonishing rate of productivity and his release schedule has been packed full of exceptional quality music. We are proud to bring you his next single, arguably the most anticipated to date.

“We’ll See” is a collab with Bristol-based companion, Break. The pair have joined forces again after the success of their last collaboration, “Murmur”. The result is simply stunning and the duo deliver a neck-snapping monster of epic proportions. Despite the mysterious track name, it’s a devilishly lethal concoction; combining the immense talents of two of the scene’s most respected producers.

Carrying equally destructive prowess, DLR continues on a solo tip into the B-side with “Tugboat”. The use of space in this hard stepper provides the perfect antidote to its predecessor’s intensity. The track is introduced with haunting atmospherics and ultra-tight drums. An enchanted bass is released gradually throughout the track, mischievously swinging amongst the elements; injecting a real technical funk into the track in a distinctive DLR style!

Finally we leave you with the experimental musicality and funk of “Delusion”, a late but freshly made addition to this release as an exclusive digital track.
Having received exclusive Radio 1 airtime debuts from DJ Friction, it’s another buy-on-sight release featuring two of the most consistently on-point producers this scene has to offer.

This is a concept mix. Drum and Bass music is characterised by an up tempo rythym (Usually between 165 and 185 beats per minute. It places heavy emphasis on the drum beat and bass lines. I wanted to throw down a "Dark" mix for the most part but I like all sub genres of DnB, and I like how they sound together in the same mix. I think mixes that have all of the same types of sounds in them can get sort of lame, so I like to spice it up a little and catch people off guard. This mix is predominantly Neurofunk and Tech Step, but there are other tunes in there. Some might call one of the tunes a "Liquid" track, or others might call another track in here "Jump Up". In the end it is ALL Drum and Bass, and I hooked this set up for the shear love of the music. This describes my style so to speak. I hope you enjoy my sense of experimentation and I hope that this mix does not offend anyone. Afterall, it was only intended to broaden ones listening horizons. Dispatch Recordings proudly present ‘Dreamland’ – the 2nd solo album from Bristol based DLR.

Continuing where his 2015 debut ‘Seeing Sounds’ left off, ‘Dreamland’ is an album concept that reflects on the world today. Encouraging people to challenge the barriers and comfort zones we blissfully exist within, DLR seeks to resist the inadequate reality we are sleepwalking into; an inherently greed based system, where numbers govern art and culture, whilst popularity determines the success of social causes, as issues are picked up and dropped in the blink of an eye.

Musically, the album is honest, straight up and sound design focused, as DLR pays homage to the older styles of DnB, building on the genre’s core principles, writing his own chapter in Bristol’s long running heritage. A statement of intent towards soul and groove driven music, each track is personified by simple ideas meticulously arranged, as DLR prioritises the raw elements to enhance the groove and sub bass, allowing each aspect enough space to breathe and develop.

Before the full album drops, this sampler will feature two DLR tracks, including ‘Pyoyb’ (as supported by Friction two weeks in a row on Radio 1, also aired by Noisia on their Radio show series), plus a collaboration with Script, available exclusively as part of the sampler release, entitled ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ (as featured by DJ Randall recently on Rinse FM).

One year had passed since the devastation of mankind. All life ravaged by the undead plague, a tide of death sweeping across the planet mercilessly, as the ever-growing mass of the lifeless swelled in its wake. The sentient population of the globe was reduced to pitiful numbers, hiding in the wreckage of once vibrant cities, long since destroyed in the futile battle for survival. Where once there was hope for survival, now remained only the ember of a desperate memory of a different future. The cycle of the dead was ever in motion, their ragged forms roaming in packs, haunting the urban desolation. Ever-dimming senses of their terminal animated corpses constantly ready to consume the living. An endless yearning to feed drove them relentlessly onwards through the desolate shadows of civilization’s end, whilst the earth below those skulking feet continued its galactic voyage obliviously. Above one such horde, a celestial alignment was unfurling in the cold depths of space. As the sun burned blood red against the horizon and the moon slid serenely across its infernal face, the light dimmed as heavy shade drew across planet. The shuffling of the horde paused as distant poured their anguish into the sky at the early arrival of night. Rotting faces raised to the heavens, the light of that unholy corona spilling across their putrid features. The dying rays of a bleak sunset penetrating their rotting sockets, as the SOLAR ECLIPSE leveled darkness upon the earth with raging eternal might.
 
Hungarian neurofunk legend CHRIS.SU returns to the EATBRAIN label in full force, following up his ‘Underground Culture’ label anthem and State of Mind Collaboration ‘Chariots’ with his first full EP – SOLAR ECLIPSE. From the eerie and suspenseful atmosphere of the title track in collaboration with label core JADE & MINDSCAPE, to the driven filth of THE LAST LAUGH, wrapped in the sinister lyrics of NUKLEAR, through to the shimmering but powerful sci-fi aesthetics of THE ARROW, Chris.SU delivers a pure slice of heaviness for one of dnb’s most vibe-laden imprints. Eatbrain smash it again in the depths of the shadow case by the solar eclipse.

Our first release of 2017 sets things off with deadly introduction, as we proudly welcome another first – the debut EP from Bristol based Kyrist,  coincidentally this happens to be our first ever female solo release on Dispatch.

Causing a ruckus thus far with a string of gritty, yet groove filled singles and remixes, the ‘Venomous EP’ is the pinnacle of Kyrist’s work to date, featuring four superb tracks that shows her diversity in production, but really showcasing her bread and butter – those screwface steppers we’ve come to love, earning the support of S.P.Y., Ant TC1, Zero T, Kasra and Survival so far. 

‘Venomous EP’ shuffles through hard hitting grooves, both infectious and rebellious in the mid ranges, uncompromising on the low ends (see title track ‘Venomous’), perfectly equipped for dark rooms with large rigs, and firm favourites at recent Dispatch events, such as ‘Tectonicz’. 

On a deeper tip, Kyrist also enlists Irish soulster Steo for a vocal performance in ‘Find A Meaning’, aided in expressing a more soulful side we’ve not previously seen from her, yet still keeping that sharper edge to it.

They established a temporary hub deep in the catacombs of the urban ultrascape, a sanctuary far from the eyes of the flesh-wrapped bio species of this technologically primitive planet. They were the last few of what was supposed to have been a peaceful incursion, an optimistic greeting between species that now stood as a declaration of violence written in the broken shards of their fallen brothers. As the chaos had blossomed around them and the incident unfurled its catastrophic and unstoppable cycle of causal probabilities and terminal results, they watched as their speaker was torn apart by the masses that pushed in against their number. Its limbs were ripped from its body each in turn, flailing and spilling hydraulic fluid as it twisted, reaching out to choke fragile throats as those merciless hands destroyed the beings they viewed as abominations. They managed to retrieve what was left of the body, separated and broken, but its heart and brain intact. Now in their refuge, with a click the last component slipped into place, its eyes flickered into life and its hand closed tight, its first thought - of death – the need to squeeze the life out of those fragile frightened masses.
