Above & Beyond release their long-awaited collaboration with anamē, ‘Gratitude’ (feat. Marty Longstaff) on April 14 through Anjunabeats.

This collaboration marks the debut of anamē: a new alias from Swedish hitmaker Marcus Schössow and production partner Thomas Sagstad. 'Gratitude' also marks the return of Sunderland singer-songwriter Marty Longstaff to Anjunabeats, the voice of Above & Beyond's 'Tightrope' and 'Flying By Candlelight'.

Debuted during Above & Beyond's sold-out London festival at The Drumsheds in 2021, 'Gratitude' is both a jubilant vocal ballad and a tough, dancefloor filler. During Above & Beyond's winter tour, which sold nearly 70,000 tickets across the USA, the significance of this record to the group's dedicated fan community was immediately apparent. It has cemented itself as a future classic for Jono, Tony and Paavo, standing alongside some of their best-loved anthems like 'You Got To Go' and 'Thing Called Love'. 

Marcus Schössow's production resumé is extensive: he's collaborated with all three members of Swedish House Mafia, as well as Bassjackers, and has released on Revealed Records, Spinnin', SIZE, Armada and Axtone. 

More commonly found performing under the moniker The Lake Poets, Marty Longstaff rose to prominence with the moving acoustic ballad ‘Shipyards’. The song accompanies the opening credits to the sleeper hit Netflix documentary, ’Sunderland ’Till I Die’.

One of the newest tracks on the album, this song was directly inspired by walks around the Marina Green (near the Golden Gate Bridge) in San Francisco very late at night near the end of last year. There is something spiritual for me about walks at 3am or 4am; I love the stillness, tranquility, and feeling that the entire landscape is yours.

I fittingly debuted this record during my nearly 5-hour set at Audio in San Francisco—my first headline show.

Soha Radjpoust is an accomplished artist with almost 20 years of experience. His musical quest began at the age of 9 and blossomed at the age of 15, when he began working as a professional musician.

In 2003, Soha earned a diploma from the Jazz Music program at Humber College, with a specialization in piano. Along the way, he developed a passion for songwriting and production, which he polished using a variety of instruments including keyboards (Hammond B3, Fender Rhodes,Wurlitzer, Clavinet, Moog and other synthersizers), guitar, bass, and drums. 

Over the years, Soha has made a name for himself both on stage and in the studio. Toronto’s local musicians often call on him to lend his talent, and popular bands such as The James Brown Band and Canada’s own Ashley MacIssac have asked Soha to share the stage. 

Currently, Soha finds himself at home in the progressive house genre, and enjoys a strong following of fans who are dedicated to his unique sound. His signature melodies and distinctive beats have caught the attention and support of established artists around the world, including Tiesto, Benny Benassi, Armin van Buuren, and Natasha Bedingfield. Teaming up with Adam K, the duo celebrated immense acclaim and international support for their original work. Most notably, their breakthrough track “Twilight” maxed out at 2 on Beatport.com, and remained on Beatport’s Top 10 for more then 2 months. It was endorsed by BBC Radio 1 when it was dubbed “Essential Tune of the Week” by famed British DJ Pete Tong. The team also achieved worldwide recognition for their remix of Sylvia Tosun’s “Underlying Feeling” which landed a spot on Billboard’s Dance music charts. Other hits in the duo’s remix repertoire include Reflekt’s “Need to Feel Loved”, Kaskade’s “4 AM”, and “We Hold On” originally produced by Kaz James of the BodyRockers. Soha finds inspiration around every corner, and draws on influences of traditional Persian music to create his distinctive music.
