Welcome back after another brief hiatus we're back and we have a beast of a mix from the big man Perseus Traxx! We kick off with some cracking Gated bits. We caught up with Perseus AKA Nigel to see what we can expect from himover the next few months.

On May 26th I’m back there again doing the first live show in a very long time, alongside the legend that is Derek Carr. I’m really looking forward to this one. The Imaginarium is a truly brilliant little venue, recently set up by my friend Roya and her associates, with 'Plant and Deck' selling records and plants on the ground floor next to a small cafe bar and space upstairs for, yoga, open mic, acoustic, and parties upstairs. There's a real family feeling in there, and a brilliant place to hang out, with frequent in-store sessions for the shop, and intermittent broadcasts for NARR Radio. It’s only about 110 capacity so anyone wanting to come down should keep their eyes peeled and maybe check out The Imaginarum Facebook page or website:

Sergio Bravo, aka Yūko, is a Spanish DJ who started spinning records in 1999, with Detroit and British Techno as his primary influences. He added Spanish productions and explored other genres like Electro and Breaks, especially living in London in 2010, and then joined the Fluid collective to later found New North Records in 2014, which focuses on Electro, Techno, and Downtempo. In the eighties, all the boys and many girls had a crush on Kim Wilde. Cosmic Force was no different. By covering her hitsingle Cambodia, the Dutch producer comes clean of his childhood love. His slinky vocoder version has the same coolness that stuck to miss Wild back then, and we think it fits perfectly in a post disco-set by the likes of Intergalactic Gary, Legowelt or Cosmic Force himself.

Luc Bydon aka. Prōtokol is a French musician, composer, performer, dj and one of Échosystème’s co-founder. In 2017, back in Paris, he launched the Planisphère, an experimental music label and radio show. [𝔼́ℂℍ𝕆𝕊𝕐𝕊𝕋𝔼̀𝕄𝔼 𝕄𝕀𝕏𝟘𝟘𝟙] Prōtokol

Berlin-based artist Werner Soyeaux under his stage name Bläck Dävil is a core part of the Berlin collective Ick Mach Welle. Schnäll Schnäll is his debut solo artist EP on Killekill, with own productions accompanied by collaborations with Bettina and DJ Normal 4, alongside remixes by Rhyw and Gesloten Cirkel. The EP opens with the dark intro Alptraum, which Gesloten Cirkel transforms into an ill-tempered acid-electro monster. The title track Schnäll Schnäll provides a stark contrast to these, with bright overtones existing alongside deeply rooted sonic bedrock. Rhyw adds a level of abstraction and futurism with his remix of this track, whilst retaining the dub-influenced vibe of the original. Following on from this Geldschere is collaboration with Düsseldorf artist DJ Normal 4, with Bläck Dävil contributing his own lyrics and voice, to create a track that could be fittingly described as “Acid Punk Rock”! The final track on the release is a cheeky ode to the Ick Mach Welle family. Here the Dävil's passion for Hardtekk, Gabber and similar rough styles of music become clear.

 Betonruhe (Der Handwagen erzählt)

Ich bin aus Metall. Vier Räder, ein Griff, ein bisschen Rost. Ich bin kein Mensch, aber ich bin da. Ich stehe im Innenhof, zwischen einer Wendeltreppe, die ins Nichts führt, einer Badewanne, die Regenwasser sammelt, und einem Kühlschrank, der nichts mehr kühlt. Ich bin der, der Dinge bewegt. Und der, der sieht, wenn sich was verändert.

Seit Tagen ist es heiß. Beton glüht. Die Sonne brennt alles weich. Er kommt jeden Morgen barfuß. Gießt die Pflanzen, eine nach der anderen. Die Brause zischt leise. Ich höre das. Ich spüre, wie sein Gang sich verändert. Keine Rückenschmerzen mehr. Kein Ziehen. Das Ding am Hals – Lymphom – meldet sich nicht. Egal wie er den Kopf dreht. Ich bin kein Arzt. Aber ich merke, wenn jemand leichter wird.

Sein Kater hatte Stress. Bisswunde. OP. Er selbst hat Stress mit allem drumherum. Aber in einem stillen Moment steht er da, Füße im Matsch, und sagt nichts. Der Schmerz im Zeh – Arthrose – ist weg. Der Matsch zieht die Hitze raus. Ich weiß das. Ich hab schon andere stehen sehen. Aber bei ihm ist was anders.

Hier gibt’s keinen Lärm. Kein Strom. Kein System. Nur Wind, der denkt. Und ich. Ich trage nichts heute. Nur Beobachtung.

Er sagt nichts. Aber ich weiß, dass er sich fragt, wie das jetzt weitergeht. Ich spüre das. Ich bin schließlich dafür da, Dinge zu bewegen. Und hier bewegt sich was. Nicht laut. Nicht sichtbar. Aber echt.

Ich bin ein Handwagen. Und ich weiß: Manchmal heilt ein Ort mehr als jede Tablette.
