Deep, trippy and hypnotic. That pretty much sums up the new Nacreous-EP by Shoal on the Dutch imprint NOWHERE. The title refers to a certain glow or color that mother-of-pearl radiates. Shoal is the alter ego of Utrecht-resident Kenny Dean Kneefel. When you have a name that sounds like a famous stuntman, you are probably prepared to take more risks.

And indeed that's exactly what this producer from the lowlands does on Nacreous. Shoal's four track EP combines hallucinant grooves with delicate sound design. Like on Bygone Drums, where ominous distant sounds from a nearby factory creep between the shadows. The same can be said of the title track, a tribalistic tune with a delicate dark undertone.

Never Endings is more uplifting, with its dubbed out basslines and crispy hi-hats. Dubtechno that reminds us of both Monolake and Fluxion. Closing track Morning Float is indeed that, a trip in a blue tank filled with warm water, where you are comforted by beautiful strings and sounds of nature.

Innersha is an electronic music producer and live performer based in Yerevan, Arm- enia. Her passion for crafting stories and sound palettes became the foundation for deve- loping her signature live sets.
Inspired by the elements and sounds of nature, her soundscapes are infused with organic percussive textures and hypnotizing grooves. Following her mesmerizing live set in our SoundSculptors series, we‘re proud to release the debut EP ‚Inner Landscapes‘ by Innersha, a gifted producer hailing from Armenia.
The EP features her signature organic, trippy aesthetic, starting with ‚Yutori,‘ a deep, tribal track that hypnotizes with its intense, subconscious pull. ‚Konda‘ shifts gears with driving rhythms and playful, intricate layers, while ‚Emeralds‘ explores trance- like influences with a relentless, organic flow. ‚Elysion‘ provides a lighter, more airy sound that remains grounded by its driving bass and rhythm. The final track, ‚Shma- na,‘ delivers an intense, energetic finale, with powerful drone swells and percussion that push the track into the grey area. The Danza Nativa label is fresh off the back of a fine fifth birthday celebratory compilation but wastes no time getting back to business. Alderaan is the man in charge with his second for the label and 'Transition' kicks off with some mad LFO business melting your mind. Psyk remixes it into a more paired back and spooky subterranean techno prowler. With 'Vortex' there is yet more nocturnal menace with ticking hi-hats seeing rhythm as squelchy, unsettling sounds peel off the beats. 'Futurismo' closes down with a gurgling lead line and distant sci-fi sounds that complete this most futuristic EP.

Peter Grove offers a relentless version of Iron Lung that represents the shifting beats in a far less subtle array of sonic mayhem. Named after a residential street in Toronto, Neepawa takes an abstract mechanical rhythm and makes it something more primal, almost child-like in nature.
