Horkheimer’s selection blurs the boundaries between down-tempo techno and electronica, scanning the far reaches of Balearic spin-out vibes with an alternative twist. Often mysterious, at times deeply melancholic, and almost always drenched in smoky dub aesthetics!

Her bio spans four countries in three different continents, and a family history tying her to even more diverse locales. A true globetrotting citizen of the world, she has taken in influences from a large variety of sources to inform her wide-ranging musical taste. It’s hardly a coincidence she has dropped anchor at the port of Rotterdam, a place which is defined by its diversity and by welcoming travelers from all over the world. 

A journey is also the best way to describe her addition to our podcast series. A truly eclectic mix of genres, moods and moments, we’re taking from energetic breaks and techno thumping, with hints of rave-synths, acid-basslines and plenty of percussion sprinkled in for good measure. And then, just as you think you’ve figured out what Beyun’s all about in this set, she mixes things up.
