DAY THREE: PINK SKIES ABOVE A PINK PIANO

This track marks the turning point of the Pandemic Suite:
After the melancholy of the preceding sections, mourning the loss, weakness, the loneliness, after sinking into retreat and memory, comes now the rebound.
Out of nothingness, out of the darkness, the sunrise begins to shimmer— a symbol of new beginnings and awakening trust. 
This composition grows from the depths of the doublebasses, it lets chords rise, blossoming into a radiant orchestral sound that reveals beauty before the eyes and stirs hope for what lies ahead.

This is something I did for Håkan's recent open collab. I have been experimenting with mixing in surround/binaural/etc, and his music is perfect for that, so I jumped on it. As far as me, I handled bass guitar, guitar and "production". Headphones (any old pair, this is stereo) are very highly recommended to get the full effect. Thanks, Håkan. Exploitation of the Terrain:

He is an indigenous resistance fighter and a central figure in the history of Mapuche autonomy and the struggle against Spanish rule. Pedro de Valdivia decided to make an example of the Mapuche: he ordered their right hands and noses to be cut off. The conquistador thought the horror of seeing his brothers disfigured would serve as a lesson to the Mapuche, and they would think twice before rebelling again.
