Head To Toe boss Ninetoes is next up on the famed Hot Creations as he makes his debut on the label this March. Geared for the dancefloor, Same Same is a solid two track release that sees the German native at the top of his game. 

Title track and A-side Same Same is a bonafide feel good anthem that packs a heavy punch. Uplifting vocal samples lead the way over the rolling, minimal undertones. On the flip, Feel It kicks in with a deep and swinging bassline as subtle vocals drift in and out amidst dark, melodic keys. Ninetoes explains, "I’ve loved the original sample of ‘Same Same’ since I was a kid back in the early 80’s. My uncle was a DJ back then and he used to play it all the time and I wanted to make my own version of it. And after I did, I knew it would fit perfectly on Hot Creations. Happy and excited to be part of the family.” 

Hailing from Stuttgart, Ninetoes arrived on the house music scene back in 2013 where his track Finder took Ibiza by storm. Releases and remixes soon followed on acclaimed labels such as Moon Harbour, DFTD, Crosstown Rebels, Avotre, Saved, Suara, Mobilee and Play It Down to name a few and were supported by the likes of Loco Dice, Carl Cox, Jesse Rose, Luciano, Davide Squillace and Koze. 2019 saw Ninetoes launch his own label ‘Head To Toe’, where the break out track for the label became one of the top 10 Shazam’d tracks in Ibiza that season. This year shows no sign of slowing down with a string of new music on the way.

It is with a feverish excitement that we can finally announce the next EP in our catalog from our newest addition to the Second State family: Amelie Lens. Besides being quite a multi-talented virtuoso, the Belgian artist comes in hot and heavy for her debut release ‘Let It Go’ and with it showcases her prowess for dark, cutting-edge techno. Over the span of four tracks Lens takes us on a tour-de-force journey into the cerebral spaces of large, dark rooms and flashing strobe lights. Kicking things off is the hypnotically inducing 'Wild' with looping vocals laid over an ever increasing pressure of percussion and white noise. Much like the EP opener, 'Linger On' casts the same spell yet picks up the pace with racing snares and meteoric synth washes creating a deeply euphoric ride. The title track ’Let It Go' is up next and is by far the most 'cheeky' tune of the EP with a twisted acid line swirling around the constant begging of Lens’ voice encouraging you to "Let It Go, Let It Out". Rounding out the EP is 'The Finest Hour' and Lens wraps up her debut with the most psychedelic cut of the package. Low rumbling bass tones and spaced out pads over sparse drums leave lots of room for the imagination providing each listener to create their own journey to navigate. If this is Amelie Lens' debut with us, we expect a lot of very big things to come from the young Belgian and so should you. Welcome Amelie Lens!

''The Signs Within'' is Drunken Kong's debut album on Tronic, featuring 12 original tracks including two collaborations with label boss Christian Smith and talented Victor Ruiz. With this work Japanese duo prove they are here to stay with some top notch techno. Whilst keeping the groove alive, they deliver some punching bass lines, rolling subs and deep synths.
Each track has a message of its own. The Signs Within, Life We Knew and The Rhythm giving us that hypnotic, infectious and sometimes deliciously sinister vocal stab. Secret Garden and Perfect Dominance both take it deep, dark and twisted with a serious fearless low end and eerie synth stabs. Grooviness can be felt in the funky bass laid down in Mission and As It, whilst rounding off the LP, they take it slow, mellow and mesmerizing with A New Day.
The whole production takes you through a variation of sounds and textures, appealing to many musical palates. Creating a selection of tracks which are not all for the dance floor, but unique in their own way, whilst acting as a perfect complement to one another on this LP.

Odd Ones Out is a Spanish duo of DJ´s and producers composed by Jordi Llado and Jaime Bolin. Born in Barcelona and Madrid respectively, they both engaged with the local underground scene at a very young age while developing a strong passion and taste for house music. After making a name for themselves by playing in some of the most respected venues in their cities and sharing booth with top artists, they started playing together when moving to Miami, where later on the duo would be established. Since the beginning of their overseas career in 2018, they introduced themselves to the local music movement as residents at Alegria Community and Proyecto Tulum, playing around the city's best nightclubs and afterparties, establishing themselves in Miami's underground scene.

With previous gems for Exploited Ghetto including ‘Hibiskuss’ and ‘Masada’, Berlin’s Marcus Meinhardt became an integral part of the label family. His melodic techno style always finds the balance between groove and melody, and he can usually be found behind the decks in any of his hometown’s favoured tech-centric dancing establishments. ‘El Paso’ is his latest weapon: a sleek, no-nonsense dancefloor cut which gets the job done very nicely indeed.
This track is alive from the very first note, throbbing and pulsating hypnotically with a tribal rhythm and thick chunks of bass accentuating the percussive groove. The trademark Meinhardt synth magic swells and teases, rising like a giant wave to help introduce new parts of the track. When the claps finally drop in, the impact is felt heavily, and the track keeps building as layer upon layer of mesmerising synth energy is added. The tension increases as we drop back to a kick and bass groove, those dazzling melodic elements teasing and disorienting vocal delays plunging is further into the deep abyss. From near silence, the track rebuilds itself like a sleeping beast waking from slumber, propelling us back to that meaty groove.
It’s what you might call a ‘mood track’: one that never explodes ostentatiously, but instead provides you with a slice of drama to use as a powerful building block within a greater narrative.

trndmsk: What inspired you to produce the EP?

Teenage Mutants: To tell the truth, nothing specific. It just shows the sounds and style we really are into at this very moment. After 7 years of releasing music from deep to tech house, from melodic techno to peak time techno – we had all chances to explore our music. At the moment we focus only on techno. In this particular release, same with the previous “What We Think” along Giorgia Angiuli, you will feel a mix between techno and melodic parts. (...)

Second State’s latest release is a special one — the debut LP from talented German producer @wigbert. Stepping up for his first full-length, he demonstrates why he’s a firm favorite among so many. The Distorted Matter LP showcases his affinity for both atmospheric mood pieces and pummeling club cuts, the sign of a producer with more than one trick up his sleeve. 

“Uncertainty” opens the album in an ominous tone. As its name suggests, it creates a feeling of unease, even horror, as macabre drones blare underneath bleepy arpeggios. Later on the LP, on “Error 404”, this mood is revisited, with bleeps and static signifying that something has gone awry. The second track on the record, “Reflection” is its hardest hitting. Ice-cold stabs, a pumping kick and driving rhythms send the track into overdrive before creepy arps and drums come back in. It’s complex, layered and unrelenting. 

Night Vision” is threaded with warped off-kilter rhythms, while “Xcelerator” is charged with nervous energy, echo FX and prickling percussion. Other tracks on the LP share this latter mood, such as “Digital Mirroring”, with its windblown synths, distorted vox and broken beats, while the title track heralds a different variety of sounds. The beats on it are also chunky, but the airy pads place it in a more ethereal category. “Drone Level” is similarly lighter in spirit, with arps shimmering over the sound of running water.

The rest of the LP continues in this is more pensive vein, with the rhythms of “Focus” loping under twinkling, reverbed synths, before “Transformed” closes the album in a delicate melange of dreamy pads, chopped up beats, and sounds that mimic insects and nature.

Spencer Parker returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids with ‘The Theme’ EP, the DJ/Producer’s most distinctive single to date.
Comprising three originals and a remix from Pink Concrete, ‘The Theme’ EP sees the Berlin-based Brit known for blending house, disco and techno delve further into his ‘80s new wave influences hinted at in his recent ‘The Love And Sex’ EP for HE.SHE.THEY.
First track ‘Theme’ is Parker at his most musical. With simple piano licks, digital strings and soaring choral swells, this is an anthemic piece that oozes class. ‘Radio Waves (After Dark)’ sees staccato synth leads play off a pulsing bass while the titular vocal sample and aesthetic recall some of Parker’s work under his lauded It’s Not Over pseudonym. Closing the originals is the arpeggio driven ‘The Work Out’, an undulating late-night cut displaying Parker’s penchant for high energy arrangements.
Prague’s Pink Concrete rounds out the EP with a driven but melodic techno interpretation of ‘Theme’.

26th February sees the acclaimed Madrid-based techno DJ/producer, Fatima Hajji unleash her show-stopping new single, ‘YKN’ (incl. Metodi Hristov remix) via Hristov’s own Set About imprint.
With little sign of slamming the breaks, Spanish DJ/producer and label owner, Fatima Hajji continues to prove her esteemed status amongst techno’s highest-ranking go-getters. Having enjoyed a multitude of recent releases on acclaimed imprints such as Octopus Recordings, IAMT, Odd Recordings, Autektone Records and Dolma Records, Hajji’s foot remains firmly on the accelerator with her new show-stopping single, ‘YKN’. This time, she’s teamed up with Bulgarian techno wizard, Metodi Hristov who, as well as providing his own remix version, will be releasing this essential two-track project via his own Set About imprint.
Taking a familiar hard-line approach, Hajji’s ‘YKN (original mix)’ is an immediate reminder of her devilish, unrelenting production style. 
Smashing through the speakers with a pounding 4/4 beat, the instantly killer bass frequencies make light work of slicing through the rich, permeating synths and atmospherics. Metodi Hristov responds with a similarly explosive rework. Utilising darker, more chasmic production tweaks, his added extra-terrestrial synth and vocal effects takes ‘YKN’ to new heights of focus and intensity.

For his first full EP of 2021, Brian is back on Endangered with Bluiris; 4 original tracks that take the listener on a captivating trip when consumed in sequence.⠀

“ION” starts things off with a cinematic intro, and a sense of anticipation bubbles throughout the track signifying the start of a journey. Curiosity is piqued with the atmospheric pads and subtle synth stabs, and a trippy, sensory overload is reached at the apex. The vibe is switched up with a tribal rhythm and shuffling groove for “Ordeal”. Drum hits come from every angle, and arpeggiated synths jump back and forth which creates a wave of emotions as the listener is now pulled forward without resistance.⠀

Full energy and power are reached on the title track “Bluiris”. The most progressive and hypnotic track on the EP, this one is classic Brian Cid dark vibes & energy. The journey concludes with the final track “Flares”. Euphoria is reached once the drop occurs, and the listener is left in a relaxed and meditative state at the conclusion of this trip.⠀
