Mix réalisé 100% sur vinyle, uniquement avec des disques d'artistes ou label français sortis entre le 28 février 2020 et mars 2021, ils n'ont donc pas eu la chance de vivre sur le dancelfoor (ou pratiquement pas). Ils ont été achetés chez @techno-import-podcast ou directement auprès des labels sur Bandcamp, car la musique ne s'arrête pas, les artistes et les labels non plus. Certains d'entre eux se sont même lancés pendant ces mois de pandémie (@houseofunderground, @frapperecords, @bardouinmusic, @mstpl), d'autres fêtent leur anniversaire (@hedzup, @pontneuf) ou rééditent certaines de leurs sorties emblématiques (@fcommunications, 25 ans). Je voulais les honorer, les faire vivre sous le diamant, leur tirer mon chapeau, leur dire merci et surtout ne vous arrêtez pas: vous êtes le sang de cette musique qui bat dans le sillon. C'est grâce à vous que nous gardons l'espoir de danser encore en riant, main dans la main, corps contre contre corps, quand la musique aura triomphé et que le virus sera mort.

Exalted by hissing leads and arpeggiated basses, Ulla Records writes off walls between the 80s and modern era. The first release, “In Motion”, showcases the variety of genre that the label aims to put forward. 

Youngster Austher opens up the project with a slow italo-disco cut, followed by Malouane, delivering an electro-oriental-inspired chimera, and Sporting Club with a piece of italo-body music, before Naranja and LDM wrap it up with a frantic homage to the rave and acid era.

Expect an unrestrained journey between italo-disco, EBM, electro and acid !

The Dobro label hails from Saint Petersburg, revelling in a bright and breezy approach to disco and house edits from a varied cast of operators. On this second joint for the label we're treated to six slices, ranging from Hurlee's sweet and soulful keys-leaning 'Pel Meu Per Tu' to MuteNoise's looped and chopped disco funk odyssey 'Turn Me On'. Feel good party flavours are the order of the day, and this record has them in abundance - just listen to the tightly wound filter funk of 'Simplet Funky' by Jeff The Fool and try to imagine the party NOT popping off.

VA-Solidarity is a Weapon

These are strange times and it looks like the whole world is going crazy. At least that's how we feel when we open the newspaper and follow the daily news.
All of us noticed the news about Nazi networks in police and military, mostly called „Einzelfälle“ with fear and concern. Halle and Hanau shook us. To watch “Querdenker” and Nazis walking hand in hand while the protests for the victims of Hanau where declined made us want to throw up and listening to politicians talking about the threat from leftwing-radicals just made us wonder. Even the orange president talked about the Antifa-myth which is complete bullshit. So what does Antifa mean? A short term for Antifascist.
Since we are no longer involved in political activism, we thought we would at least make a small contribution and support activists in their struggle.

So we started asking our friends if they wanted to contribute a track. Everyone jumped right on the bandwagon, which made us super happy and in a few weeks we even had more tracks than initially planned.
So you can expect some weird ambient-spheres, stompy club hymns, dolphin-trance, classic piano-house and even some dub-grooves.

We hope you enjoy the music as much as we do.

So who is “Rote Hilfe E.V.” and why does the money made with this compilation goes to them? This organisation puts the main focus on the financial and legal support of left activists who face repression in Germany. Besides, the “Rote Hilfe E.V.” helps antifascists who are searching for political refuge in Germany. We think that's a good cause which we would like to support. So your money is well spent! ;)

Solenoid boasts an extensive catalog of releases in both vinyl and digital formats, spanning from house music to techno. More recently, the focus has shifted to 90s techno and progressive house with influences of trance and acid.

Solenoid regularly showcases its artists through the parties which has already taken place at Renate, Golden Gate and Zur Klappe in Berlin. The goal of Solenoid and its artists is to promote quality rave music, both in productions and primarily in vinyl sets presented by the roster of its artists.

The label's design is curated by the illustrator Tara Deacon and visual artist Riccardo Bernardi, also known as ACONITE.

The distribution is handled by KMA60.
