Marc Hype began his DJ career, inspired by the late great Jam Master Jay, in 1988 and went through the several decades of hip hop with countless releases, tours and competitions like the ITF championships, which he won twice in 98 & 99. During this time he collaborated and recorded with artists like the Juice Crew legend Masta Ace, Souls Of Mischief, DJ Z-Trip, Killa Kela & Mr. Lif. Over the years his record collection and his musical mind  expanded and led him to all kinds of funky music. His selection on the decks as on production is freestyle, always with a unique groove, no matter the genre.

Jim Dunloop began to train as a classical piano player at the age of four. At his minor age he was analyzing the compositions of Gershwin and Bruback, leading to a keen interest in jazz music. He quickly developed his knowledge of the creative works of many great jazz/funk pianists such as Herbie Hancock , Bob James , Chick Corea and Adam Makiewicz.

In the year 2004 they both met in Berlin for the first time and quickly began to collaborate on shows and production. Their first vinyl releases on the infamous Milk Crate label, "The Antique Anthem", "Bombay Raw" & "Finale 74", were very successful in the worldwide dj-circuit, followed by a cover version of Babe Ruth's "The Mexican" in 2006, which was dubbed by UK's Jazzman Gerald as "the" version to have. On the remix tip they build a strong reputation with works for artists like All Good Funk Alliance, Deela or Kid Gusto.Their past tour schedule proved their ability to rock internationaly with stops allover europe as in NYC, Japan, Hong Kong, Russia, United Arabian Emirates, Israel & Australia.

The live performance of Marc Hype & Jim Dunloop is best defined as a mix of DJing, Turntablism and the highest of piano art. Together they gain 50 years of musical experience!

The Album

"Stamp Out Reality" is the musical manifest of Marc Hype & Jim Dunloop. A diverse mix of different styles which reflects their unique live concept. On the one hand you have classic hip hop joints like "Predominant" ft. the magnificent Mr. Lif or "Oh Really" ft. Queen's own Mr. Complex, on the other you might listening to Miami's Old School Funk legend Blowfly on "The Pussy Song", cuban diva Malena Perez from NYC on the latin influenced "Rare Occasion, heavy break stompers like "Wah Wah Wah"" or a funk cover version of the 80s electro classic "Al Naafiysh (The Soul)". The concept of the album is to display the diversity of the two maestros, coming from different backrounds, met inside the hip hop culture and travelleling through the paths of 21st century funk.


Marcelo Solis has been dj since 2000 and he always cultivated the best musical flavour. With early influences of best classic house music (Danny Tenaglia, Danny Rampling, etc), in best progressive house too (Bedrock, Hooj Choons, etc), motivated by Sasha, when he saw him for first time in Punta del Este Uruguay in 2000. Today his set's reflects his style and his preference for House, Tech House, and Techno plenty of groovy basslines and percussions, with an excellent ability for Warm Up set's and a special dedication like Headliner. He has played in several places, like, Exxim and Z (Formosa-Argentina), Clubhouse, LaBelle (Resistencia-Argentina), Belha Bruxa (Corrientes-Argentina), Shooters (Puerto Iguazu-Argentina), FabriKa, Caracol, Deja Vu, Tantrum and Lotus (Asuncion-Paraguay), Festival BUE and Pacha in (Buenos Aires), He has made parties called Our House and shared dj booth with Argentinean Dj's like Luis Callegari (aka Cutlab of Harlem Records, UK - Big Chief Records, US), Mariano Trocca (Arjaus Records), Ricky Ryan (aka Can Costa of Babylon, Music Is Freedom, Vapuorise, Proton Radio), Juan Pablo Pfirter (aka Plantec of Huron Records, Mindtrip Music), Paul Velvet (aka Jay West of Flavour, My Best Friend), Violett (Unfound Records), Drole &amp; Lavoiseur, RoMix, Alex Russo, also with many dj's from cities near where he lives like Juan Manuel Rosso (Club House - Resistencia), Dario Orrego (La Belle - Resistencia), Daniel Rios (Pacha - Resistencia)and among others. Marcelo has appeared in BUE Festival the 29th of May 04 in the Club City of Buenos Aires, with a concurrence about of 15,000 people, sharing poster next to international bands and Dj's like Massive Attack, Andrew Fletcher (in Dj format), Junior Sanchez, Rinocerose, The Human League, Slacker, the best exponents of the Argentinean electronic scene: Gustavo Cerati, Miranda, Roken, Adicta, Intima, Los Sueños De Anderson. In that opportunity he shared stage booth with Manuel Sahagun, Hernan Cerbello, D+D and FC Kahuna, and many others. 2005 found Marcelo of great performances and good presentations, like the mythical Pacha club after its explosive re-opening he has shared main floor with Luis Callegari in a traditional AET parties. In 2007 he was invited to a dance music festival called Electropark, with a concurrence about 8.000 people, and shared the dj booth with Diego Ro-K, Martin Huergo, Carlos Ruiz, Jr Pachame and among others. Jason Brown is Qdup, and has been making dance floors groove and butts move worldwide for over a decade. Now residing in Los Angeles, CA the Wasington DC area native brings DC Funk vibes along with West Coast Festival Sensibility to the dance floor. Over the years, Qdup has released top selling tunes and remixes on many well received labels from all over the world including Bombstrikes, Fort Knox Recordings, Goodgroove, Air, ESL Music, Royal Soul, Super Hi-Fi, MustBeat and his own Qdup Records imprint. 

Qdup has had a steady string of acclaimed original releases with Washington, DC’s Fort Knox Recordings since 2013. His tunes have consistently made it into top 20 charts in the Glitch Hop, Funk and Breaks Genres on Beatport and Juno Download. From earning a nomination for a Washington Area Music Award for Hop Hop Recording of the year in 2013, to garnering Mixag’s “Breaks tune of the Month in October 2014, to coverage on some of the web’s hottest taste making blogs like Magnetic Mag, Surviving the Golden Age, Life Support Machine, Dance MusicNW and EDM Sauce; Qdup’s projects have consistently been praised by funky dance music aficionados world wide. Qdup has also gained a following dropping his secret weapon DJ tunes to the masses as free downloads.

Qdup broke out as a DJ on North America’s festival scene from 20012-17 including memorable sets at Shambhala Music Festival (BC, Canada), Firefly Fest (DE, USA), Art Outside (TX, USA), Gathering of the Vibes (Ct, USA), BassCoast (Merritt, Canada), Boogaloo (CA, USA) and P.E.X. (MD, USA). Late 2015 to 2016 saw Qdup join forces with longtime collaborator and label mate Steve Raskin of Fort Knox Five in a steady string of gigs performing their unique Four Deck Set. They’ve had a busy schedule with tours up on both coasts of the states, Colorado and Montana & have frequented Canada’s west coast BC and Alberta. Their touring included a festival run with Canadian favorite’s Shambhala (Salmo, Canada) & BassCoast (Merrit, Canada) and adding events like Sonic Bloom (CO), Northern Nights (CA, USA) and Burning Man (NV, USA). 
When not on tour, Qdup has played regularly at DC hot spots like Eighteenth Street Lounge, U-Street Music hall and Tropicalia where he along with Fort Knox Five have held their residency “Sao Funky” for 4 years. Qdup has also made the official promotional mix tapes for The DC Funk Parade 3 years running, further solidifying himself as one of DC’s most sought after party rockers. Since relocated to Los Angeles, Qdup has continued this trend frequently playing at some of LA’s best underground warehouse and festival venues.

Madame Electrifie has amassed some 20 years on the decks, playing some of the UK’s leading venues and parties. She has supported some of the biggest names in electronic music over the years across all spectrums of the music world including The Stanton Warriors, Jon Carter, Elite Force, A Skillz, Annie Nightingale, Rob Da Bank, Krafty Kuts, the Freestylers and a whole host of bands. A festival favourite thanks to her eclectic taste; summer sees her play sets across all kinds of festival stages at Glastonbury, Bestival, Truefest, Shindig, IOW, Nozstock & Shambala, alongside presenting her own stages at Boomtown and Beatherder as an extension to her long-standing club promotion Madame Electrifie’s Discotech. 

2023 has been a mammoth year for Madame Electife, with a 14 date festival tour including playing major stages at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness and more. Her remix for Sam Redmore’s ‘Music is’ was championed by BBC 6 music’s Jam Supernova, and her remix for Bazza Ranks released on Bombstrikes went straight to number 1 in the Juno Disco chart. She was also signed to the iconic Finger Lickin Management.

Fusing the best vintage beats with the best of the modern age; Madame Electrifie’s eclectic sound means she can turn herself to a daytime disco or a late night bassy rave with ease. With funk and breaks at its core, she draws on global sounds to create a unique blend squarely aimed at the dancefloor. 

If that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, Madame Electrifie is also one half of Evil Twin with Mini Da Minx, and producer in electronica/trip hop trio Cassini Circles.
