Culadasa (John Yates, Ph.D.) is a meditation master with over four decades of experience in the Tibetan and Theravadin Buddhist traditions. He taught physiology and neuroscience in college for many years. Later, he worked at the forefront of healthcare education and therapeutic massage, serving as the founding director of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Culadasa retired from academia in 1996, moving with his wife into an old Apache stronghold in the Arizona wilderness, where they deepened their spiritual practice together. He currently leads the Dharma Treasure Buddhist Sangha in Tucson, Arizona and holds retreats across the United States.

Festina Lente Discos es un sello discográfico con sede en Bogotá, Colombia, que inició labores a finales del 2009 con la grabación "Meleyólamente" del dueto conformado por el pianista Ricardo Gallo y el guitarrista Alejandro Flórez. En un país como Colombia donde hay pocos sellos especializados, Festina Lente Discos se la ha jugado por documentar proyectos enfocados en el jazz, la libre improvisación, el noise tropical, la cumbia sicodélica, revisiones experimentales de algunas sonoridades populares latinoamericanas, algo de punk, rock, música de cámara y cantautores surrealistas.
En la actualidad el equipo de Festina Lente Discos está conformada por Mario Cubillos y Luis Daniel Vega en la producción, además de Julián Cotes en el diseño.
