A follow up to "Yacht Music for Yacht People", this set follows the same ebb and flow of that set.  Yacht Rock is more than just smooth rock from the 70s and 80s, it is a reimagining of a genre that requires continuous exploration.  This is my reinterpretation of that genre. Features remixes from Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Peter Gabriel, The Police, David Bowie, Billy Idol, Depeche Mode, and Queen.

Sex in a hammock I'm sure sounds way cooler than it actually is. But you tell me.

Perfectionism Paralysis 

I created the glad days series as a way for me to destroy the perfectionism that for so long had put so many creative aspects of my life on hold. I am the guy who (proverbially) farmed his own goats to make his own drums to record his own sounds to not make any of the music that never sounded as good as the stuff he wanted to play. Perfectionism paralysis. The ethos of the Glad Days series is simple, feel good music, tracks I want to hear, unpretentiously sharing this with you all without overthinking it. I use ableton to put it together and am able to get up and be a family man in the middle of my “mix”. The result is getting the privilege of spreading the joy of creativity and music and being there for the ones I  love the most. Volume 3 is dedicated to my loves Celina, Freddie and Makai.

David Bowie was an artist who could construct identities and embody them so convincingly, then deconstruct them and move on so quickly, because he knew that makeup and costumes and backstories and sexual proclivities were above all a tantalizing way to put across ideas that are more difficult to convey through pop music than through perhaps any other artistic medium. This live set was recorded live at Parallel Universe in Los Angeles in conjunction with After Dark.
