Dutch DJ and producer Olivier Boogie has been doing his thing in Amsterdam, largely without credit, for the best part of a decade. He's previously released both original productions and re-edits, with two contributions to a split Lumberjacks In Hell release back in 2012 standing out. Here he returns - at long last - with an edit EP of his own for Whiskey Disco. There's naturally much to admire, from the soaring strings, undulating bass and disco-funk hustle of "Got To Have Loving" and jaunty Rodriguez re-rub "Can't Get Away" being particularly potent. He also delivers a dash of head-nodding boogie ("You Know Who"), and turns a little-known funk jam into a shuffling house hustler ("Lost In The Crowd").

One of my all time favourite tracks: Dreams by Fleetwood Mac (1977). I transitioned the original to a modern deep house track, trying to keep the essence and the warm and melancholic feel of the original.

The first digital release of 2016 for Masterworks Music is scheduled for Monday 8th February from non other than legendary Warrington DJ Mike Woods who returns to producing and has his first release in over 10 years!!! 

Mike started dj-ing in 1989 after first being a regular at the Hacienda Manchester. He went on to start Legends Warrington with Richard Garivin, which gave birth to the Legends sound which was a mixture of Balearic, House, Disco and Techno. 

Around 1991 he made his first record Flashback - You, he then started to record under the name b b r streetgang around 91 and signed to Scottish label Hubba Hubba and did two releases before moving on to a subsidiary of dead dead good records, called transworld where his love of the disco sound started in his releases for the label.

Now Mike is back into production and doing what he loves and we are really glad to have him onboard!!

After a massive release on Razor-n-Tape in 2015 (and slight change of moniker), the ever-mysterious Tom delivers a 3-song EP of breezy disco grooves inspired by his recent cruise of the islands.

On Theme Song from Deep Cock, Tom double-teamed with Deep Sang (of the Sol Power All-Stars). The tag-team duo came up with a tight and groovy title sequence for a film that will likely never see the light of day.

Look at Me is a moody slice of disco goodness that Tom put together for his now-legendary sunrise sets on the ship. 

Make Me Wonder is a warm-weather jam that fills the B-side of the record. A seemingly endless funky groove, it was Tom’s secret weapon at his all-day beach parties in port. He tells us he can’t wait to play it at outdoor jams in his new home of Brooklyn, NY (and at Fire Island soirees this summer)!
