Canadian duo Beije are the ones who kicked off the Manual Deep label early 2019. Now, two and half years later, it's time for release number twenty seven which marks their fourth appearance on the Manual Music subsidiary.

Brise Der Mer feels like a breeze of fresh air on a hot summer day. It's light, dreamy and laid back, and when you close your eyes you can just see beautiful landscapes and white sandy beaches gracing aquamarine colored waters.

This season we have our most internationally diverse line up to date, with artists from 21 countries: Mexico, USA, Spain, Mali, Turkey, Colombia, France, Argentina, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Morocco, Ukraine, Chile, Netherlands, UAE, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, Armenia, and Australia.

After his Leaf Blower Swing EP in 2020 JAY PHONIC (@jay-phonic) is back in the forest with his new single STICKY CHOIR featuring JAY PHONIC’s Original Mix and two remixes by GUZY (@davidguzy) and KENT KAINA (@kent-kaina).

JAY PHONIC, our good fellow and synthesizer dab hand from the neighborhood presents his spherical dub-space-techno track STICKY CHOIR, a seven-minute journey through wonderful inspirational soundscapes.

While GUZY’s remix intents more on the melodic elements of the original, KENT KAINA, who makes his debut on IBT, created a more “techno-minded” version of STICKY CHOIR. We hope You enjoy our new release.

"Sabo and his label Sol Selectas welcome Ayala (IT) for an EP with three original tracks along with solo remixes by Sifa, Chambord and Animal Trainer.

Ayala (IT) previously featured on the Sol Selectas Summer Sol compilation with his track “Levante” that showcased his afro house style that blends upbeat tribal percussion with melodic synths and traditional instruments from around the world.

Each of the three originals take influence from aboriginal culture and fuses it with modern electronic sounds to create a sonic tapestry that tells ancient stories with a contemporary twist. Based in Italy, Ayala (IT) has also featured tracks on other imprints such as MoBlack Records, Sirin Music and Sony Music.

Joining the originals are three stunning remixes, the first of which comes from Belgium’s Sifa whose previously featured tracks on labels ranging from Kompakt to Global Underground. French duo Chambord have also featured on Summer Sol compilations, and make their return with a mystic remix in the style they have featured on the likes of Akbal Music and Kindisch. Last of the remixes comes from Swiss duo Animal Trainer who make their debut on Sol Selectas following many high-profile outings on the likes of Katermukke, Stil Vor Talent and Einmusika Recordings.

“Sacred Steels” opens the release with gamelan melodies and ethereal vocals that fuse with the building tension of a swelling synth. Augmented with dramatic vocal textures, it’s a tropical sapphire filled with adventure that teleports the dance floor too far away exotic locations.

Second of the originals, “Sacred Piano” has heavy percussion and distant trumpets that surround bass heavy piano chords. Loose and free-flowing, this ever-evolving slice of tribal house is tailor made for club sound systems, while also telling the story of jungle life.

“Panther” is last of the originals with a low-slung groove full of psychedelic textures and a mystic atmosphere that create a ceremonial vibe. Rich with percussive textures and enchanting melodies, the track feels like a lucid dream come to life.

Sifa's remix of Sacred Steels lifts the tempo, and chunks up the track to raise the intensity while also adding a hypnotic acid bassline.

Chambord refines Sacred Piano with a version that strips back some of the original's elements and brings the trumpets into focus to create a Balearic vibe perfect for bringing in the sunset.

Animal Trainer closes out the release with a melodic remix of Panther, which steadily builds momentum and draws focus to the melody until the drums take control in the latter stages of the rework.

Sol Selectas welcomes back Italian artist Ayala for his first solo EP, with 3 original songs. 

Ayala has a unique minimal style which fuses tribal instruments from different cultures all into one percussive groove. The songs have an underlying Afro influence, but draw inspiration from jazz and disco as well, combined with a classic 4 on the floor 4 house beat. The Sacred EP will bring yourself into a ceremonial state of mind.

Each song has its own remix, and we are excited to have French favorites Chambord to give their synth -laden twist to “Sacred Piano”. Animal Trainer of Zurich Switzerland make their debut on Sol Selectas with a percussive heavy rendition of “Panther”. And finally we welcome Sifa of Belgium, who extends the original “Sacred Steels”, adding hypnotic acid lines and a super funky bass line.

Ethnic flavors explode with this release from Wassim Younes. Maia delivers emotions from the middle east, while Geetha gets you lost in the desert. Both tracks packed with wonderful organic instruments and heavenly voices. Anatolian Sessions puts his own twist with a wonderful remix with more dominant middle eastern sounds. Estray remix brings to the forefront organic and synthetic sounds with a bouncy beat. Miichii delivers an outstanding dance floor friendly version that gets you moving to the groove while getting lost with emotions.

Sol Selectas is proud to present the 2nd album from DJ, producer, and label founder Sabo. The “Buddy System” is a collaborative effort spanning over 3 years of work. 

Sabo recalls taking field trips in elementary school as a child, and how all students were asked to find a buddy. Students held hands in pairs, while traveling from destination to destination, looking out for one another. The album mirrors this concept, with Sabo teaming up with various musician and producer buddies, while touring around the Globe. 

The history of each song is a travel diary of Sabo’s stamp filled passport, with musical ideas traveling back and forth across oceans and equators, in order to finalize the projects. One can hear the musical roots of Persia, India, Ancient Greece, Spain, and Jordan, with influence from time spent at his buddy’s studios in Mexico, Switzerland, Argentina, and Berlin. The different backgrounds, cultures, and styles combine to create something unique, and emphasizes the importance of working and creating together - as Buddies.

The artwork by Helia Jamali displays a dreamscape of a wolf pack circumnavigating the galactic Universe. Wolves survive best in packs, each buddy helping out the other. Sabo’s spirit animal is the wolf.
