Subtle. Nonlinear. Incantatory. Wakabam traces the liminal space between progressive structure and organic mystery, sidestepping genre and folklore with effortless fluidity. Across three hypnotic compositions, Ali Farahani and Tutchev Space conjure deep-listening experiences that vibrate on the edge of groove and intuition. The EP opens with deep, meditative percussion that unfolds in waves, layered ambient textures, and subtle pulses driving a sense of ritualistic motion—yet never leaning on cultural tropes. The sound hovers between progressive form and dub-ambient atmosphere, balancing rhythmic depth with hypnotic restraint. From there, the journey slips into a slow-burning groove wrapped in soft tropical reverberations and featherlight percussion. Melodies drift like heatwaves, dreamy, surreal, and cinematic. Its not a depiction of the Caribbean, but a sonic mirage: a fantasy of the island archetype reimagined through ambient-laced rhythm. The final chapter is the most abstract minimalist and expansive, like a nocturnal desert landscape. Leftfield techno pulses shimmer beneath glowing synths, offering less of a track and more of a meditation in motion. No formulas. No fixed roots. Just raw, textural momentum for late-night immersion, weightless states, and boundless dancefloor drift.

Their music has always moved me with its vulnerability and cinematic depth. When they invited me to remix  'Khaf Mat', I felt both honored and inspired. My intention was to take their heartfelt vocals and melodies into a new dimension, weaving in an hypnotic psychedelic tribal groove. This one is certainly designed for the open air festival.

When the pulse of the Earth meets the ancient rhythms of the solar term, we present this ode to the land, interpreting the primal ritual of time’s cycle. This EP blends the natural cadence of White Dew into the vibrant rhythms of Organic Afro House, weaving together tribal drums, savannah winds, and the migratory paths of birds into a timeless resonance.

Ancient, powerful drums echo like distant thunder, heralding the return of migratory birds. Synthesizers trace a vast skyline, as if the first flock of wild geese cuts through the heavens, bringing the first breath of seasonal change.

The rhythm grows denser and more celebratory, like a grand gathering of birds returning to nest. Traditional African percussion intertwines with ancient Eastern chants and a dancing, leaping violin, summoning the energy of tribal dance: a tribute to the instinct of return and unity.

The atmosphere turns introspective and deep, with rhythms as delicate and textured as birds gathering food. Ethereal and moist soundscapes paint the serenity and abundance of the savannah at dusk, metaphorically storing energy for the future.

Sabo's record label, Sol Selectas, presents an organic house EP by Rameff that has Middle Eastern melodies and indie dance influences.

Rameff is a French artist living in Mexico, and he is back on Sol Selectas with his first solo EP on the imprint, after recently featuring a collaborative track on the 2025 edition of the annual Summer Sol compilation.

Utilising his background of being a percussionist and classically trained piano player, Rameff has applied his musicianship to electronic music. His tracks are a rich tapestry of sonic textures, and he combines organic sounds with synthesisers to create spellbinding grooves that are perfect for a dance floor.

Other record labels to feature Rameff's music include the likes of Baikal Nomads, Lump Records, • kosa •, Moblack Records, and Cosmic Awakenings. He is also a skilled DJ who plays hybrid sets combining live musicianship with expert track selection and the seamless blending of other people's music.

"Kasbah Fever" is the EP's title track, and it combines a chugging disco groove with Arabic melodies, Middle Eastern flutes, and a trippy vocal sample.

Next up, "Luxor Madness" layers a lurching bass synth with funky guitar chords and trippy vocal textures to create an upbeat groove with hallucinatory vibes.

"Goddess of Euphoria" has fluttering melodies inspired by Egyptian folk law, layering them with warped trumpet stabs, organ bursts, and mesmerising female vocals that have ceremonial undertones.

The artwork by Helia Jamali takes us through the ancient memories of the Egyptian gods and the sacred dunes.

Sol*Selectas next release continues to push sonic boundaries with two original tracks from world renowned DJ/producer duo Nadastrom. Fresh off their 2015 debut album, which saw them exploring a more refined deep house sound, Dave and Matt delve into cosmic inspirations with their latest release, "Jupiter b/w Chivas". Both tracks are based around strong melodic themes with the same psychedelic synths dancing wildly around their hooks. "Jupiter" takes a stripped back approach relying solely on a kick and cabasa for it's drums, with lush synths guiding the impactful journey, while "Chivas" uses polyrhythmic percussion to drive the record. Thematically, both songs draw inspiration from cosmic idioms. "Jupiter" literally takes the dance floor to another galaxy arriving on the planet's surface momentarily, only to be launched back into orbit with it's beautifully extended final buildup. Dave says that the vibe of "Chivas" stirred a smokey childhood memory of his elders celebrating Carnaval in the Andean mountains of Ecuador. Their drink of choice at the time? Scotch whiskey. And they would drink lots of it, dancing and toasting all night to the spirit of San Juanito and other shaman-like native characters. Sol*Selectas is very excited to bring this music to dance floors across the globe, and we hope these tunes will create the magical moments their inspiration foretells.
