Five days that were mixed between studio time and gastronomic moments.

Five tracks make this detailed and deep EP since the first beats, with house textures like in "Passages" or "In other words", ambient rhythms in "Evolution" or dub pulses like the one in "Convex" .

And then, “Because of this”, a track with a profound history behind it, more than 10min of experiment that close this magical Ep, a ride through the deep electronic by the hands of two masters of this genre."

A new collection of otherworldly transmissions from Deepchord’s laboratory. With "Ultraviolet Music", Deepchord returns to his proprietary formula of atmospheric heroin-house (after 2013's more cinematic "20 Electrostatic Soundfields"). A hallucinogenic amalgamation of deep emotive textures swimming around 4/4 kicks and sub-bass, middle of the night atmospheres, hypnotic repetitions, shortwave static and slowly evolving textures that envelop the listener in warm blankets of sound. Equally effective on a dance floor as it is in one's private space. Multi-dimensional sounds that move the mind and the feet. Numerous (processed) acoustic and organic sound sources make these tracks seem alive in a way that is uncommon in electronic music today. They are breathing life-forms that reveal their subtle layers with repeated listenings. It’s music that's influenced equally by 1980's experimental, 1990's ambient, Detroit techno, deep house, and Berlin school, creating something entirely unique in the process. Atmospheric Vol 2 is the second single to be taken from Deepchord’s latest full length but sees him stray from the album tracks, bringing 3 exclusive pieces to the vinyl, keeping in the same musical vein as Ultraviolet Music. 

Exploring the North & Pinewood Lodge see Rod Modell on more Deep Techno excursions as beautifully sweeping pads and glistening synths drift by ever evolving, perfectly processed atmospheres. Deepchord’s unique use of subtle field recordings throughout give both of these tracks a real heady/druggy quality and his seamless loops allow you to drift of into his fully developed dream world. Shot Point delves into straight up ambient territory with Deepchord striking an unearthly balance between the natural and synthetic world. Yet more flawlessly collected field recordings wash away on an ocean of reverb soaked pads, drowning the listener within its mesmerising tides.

P.Laoss- - Dub Class Five Preview

Molly continues to cement RDV’s reputation as a refreshing outlet for contemporary house with the expertly-curated Recit De Voyage Volume 2, a generous compilation that collects a number of established and upcoming producers to deliver vital, sincere and wholly individual music.

Leading the charge is Finale Sessions founder Michael Zucker, who follows his appearance on RDV's first release (as one half of the duo Prophets of a New Generation) with ‘City Streets’; having previously appeared on recordd with the likes of Terrence Dixon, Boo Williams and Norm Talley, he delivers his own nocturnal vision, a gentle and smooth soundtrack for warm Midwestern nights. Molly’s own contribution ‘Poble New’ follows, demonstrating her well-established mastery of tight grooves, atmosphere and subtle jack.

Douala, an artist associated with cult label Blorp, brings us ‘Orbiting’, a powerful slice of liquid funk. 
Modern House Quintet, presents ‘Plaka’, his first release away from his MHQ imprint, and arguably the record’s outright deepest moment. 
The founder of Popcorn Records, Siler ups the tempo for ‘French Manicure’, a playful, fizzy house bubbler.
Discovered at New York’s Elsewhere club during only his second-ever gig, John Silas represents the Eastern seaboard on irresistibly smooth cut ‘One Time’. 
Silas’s nocturnal groove leads in nicely to the more experimental, dense forest of sound forged by Kristian Amou & The Modern Quintet Ensemble on Bokobimbo. 

Finally, Orion hits with the MPC front-and-center for the undeniable groove of ‘Just Have You’, which rolls sensually towards a soulful vocal sample, culled from the dustiest of wax.
