Welcome to the 6th chapter of the Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. This time a Live set created by Triames. 
He called is set:

Thermal Expansion ("The tendency of matter to change in volume in response to a change in temperature")

In his tracklist he gives a explanation about this unique set. Enjoy his journey in to the realms of the Thermal Expansion!

Tracklist:

There's no tracklist, it's just a collection of patches, sounds and effects that played well together, performed and tweaked live, which is how I like to play ambient and drone sets: with no particular tracks or sections in mind, just a constant flow of sound.

Some sounds used for the first half of the set come from my collection of Buddha Machines: I like to physically place two or three them in front of some source of background noise (the ocean, air conditioner units, dripping taps, distant factories, traffic...) and record a couple of minutes of what unfolds. Then I load the results into a sampler and play with it, which creates all sorts of interesting harmonies, rhythms and textures. There's also water drops hitting the top of a coffeemaker and the wind shaking a bunch of reeds in there, see if you can spot them

There's not really much else to say about this one. The names dropped in the title alone lets your ears know what they're in store for.

Detroit's Burden brothers, more commonly known as Octave One, have been making classic techno from their roots since 1990 – and, much to our pleasure, have continued to produce, DJ and play sensational live sets as though no time has passed. 25 years on, their music still fuels the dancefloors of 2nd gen. techno lovers, as well as being picked up and reworked by modern dance music's most valuable players –  of which Paul Woolford is most certainly one.

When asked about his "Lose Myself" rework, Paul shared that Octave One and their 430 West label "have been inspirations to me for so many years. We met through mutual friends and immediately connected, following various gigs together globally. It was an honour to be invited to work on something for the Detroit label. My intention was to bring out the soulful edge of Octave One's sound and place it within the framework of a track that would work towards the end of the night." If techno be the food of love, play on...

Welcome the new artist on 1838REC. - RCVR! Marius (RCVR) was born in 1980 in Bucharest, Romania. His first contact with the electronic music was around 1995. RCVR came across making music in late  90s when he saw a friend using rebirth software. His influences are mainly old and new electronic bands along with all kind of techno producers. He loves classical music also. Marius worked in commercial studios (tv spots, short films, etc). Today he is rebuilding studio and hopes to express himself and refine his own sound.

When "She" was self-released in 2003, Higuchi had been writing and performing his style of “Tokyo laborer's blues” for a decade. The delicate song textures of "She" capture the utter feeling of loneliness and a sleep-deprived mind staring off into a blurry urban sky.
