Joe Farr lends his considerable talent to Soma Records with his latest release, Identity. Leading the charge in the new wave of UK based producers, Joe has become synonymous with the UK underground since first emerging in 2011. Since then, he’s built an impressive body of work through his own User Experience imprint plus DSNT & Leisure Systems to name but a few. His debut Soma EP comprises of 3 fairly distinct, analogue tracks that further his sound effortlessly and continue to show his talent as one of the UK’s most impressive producers.

First issued in 1998 on Superstition Records, Oliver Lieb’s L.S.G. project distilled late-’90s Frankfurt techno/trance into sleek, tightly engineered club tools with arc and atmosphere. The Black Album: The Vinyl Mixes (Remastered) presents the unmixed, original vinyl versions—newly remastered by Lieb—to foreground the detail in his drum programming, weight in the low end and the aerodynamic synth work that made these tracks DJ staples. Across nine pieces you move from the brooding momentum of “The Train Of Thought 1.1” and the nimble pulse of “Go Fishing” to the sinewy churn of “Cellular,” the pressure-valve release of “The Blaxone” and “Rotation,” the taut tension of “88” and “Freakz,” and the endorphin lift of “Hellfire” and “Deep Blue.” L.S.G.’s reputation for trance without cliché has been noted for decades. Lieb’s own note on the remastering underlines the intent: fed “through the finest analogue gear… tweaked to make it sound up to date while the music still is timeless.”

Take your Soul Beyond Gravity ✨  Kolibri Live LP is the debut album of PETRU KSS, conceived as a voyage from nature to space and recorded live in the wilderness of Corsica. This second chapter – Kolibri Live Part 2 – unveils two closing tracks and their outstanding reinterpretations.

Ordelion surges with hypnotic acid drive and melodic depth, pushing the journey towards its peak. Landing brings resolution with atmospheric tone and hopeful freshness – as clarity and light emerge from the chaos.

Arnaud Le Texier reshapes Ordelion with raw Berlin grit, Tobias. twists it into a trippy breakbeat journey, and Joton reimagines Landing in gritty techno and Detroit-flavoured breakbeat forms.

Ahead of the full album landing in Q1 2026, a remix contest will begin on 17 December in collaboration with Novation, Dreadbox, Genki Instruments and Audiorealism.

Bio

PETRU is a Corsican-born producer and live performer with a love for bold, driving techno and storytelling. Blending rhythmic precision with a strong sense of narrative and contrast, his music evokes both physical intensity and cinematic depth.

Rooted in hands-on, expressive, hardware-centric production, PETRU was awarded the Richie Hawtin PhD Scholarship in Electronic Music for his ongoing research project THRiPPS – Techno, Hardware-centric, Real-time, Improvisation, Production and Performance Study, which explores live, improvisational performance practices.

After drawing attention with his debut KSS EP and then Mediocracy on Kolibri Space Shuttle Records, PETRU released Mirage and Drifting Embers on long-standing UK label City Wall Records. His well-received EPs featured remixes from established producers such as Alexander Kowalski, Developer, Ryan Davis and An On Bast. His upcoming debut album, Kolibri Live LP, marks an important milestone: a cinematic and immersive voyage from nature to space, recorded live in the wilderness of Corsica, with growing support from respected figures across the scene.

For the second installment of this year we open a new door, the "Formless" series, which aims to cover a wide spectrum of contemporary techno. We start with "Fue A Lo Mejor, Mejor" from Åre:gone; an experimental and intelligent track inclined towards the IDM movement. We continue with "Triss", by JLTZ, with a hypnotic and enveloping sound at the same time as powerful and precise. William Arist presents "Binary Code" for the third; a very useful tool with guaranteed results for any dance floor. The fourth track "Derrapagem", belonging to the duo -2, stands out for its innovative and daring proposal with a strong tribal influence. As fifth in the list appears "L8", by Temudo, combining a strong bass and powerful kick drum with a very catchy rhythm. "Point of No Return", by Eònan, arrives later, being faithful to the Berliner sound and excelling by its incessant synth sequence. Ascorbite, with "All About The Hustle", delivers the most industrial touch to this compilation, with an aggressive aproach and sounds that flirt with the 90s Trance. In number eight we have "Chords For Grace" by Earthscape, mixing industrial elements with Detroit Techno chords, bringing out a very interesting rave sound for these times. It is followed by "2daBone" from Vil, another track that looks much more into the classical aesthetics but reaches a peculiar and daring level. The Chronics closes this pack with "Cloud Nine", a warmer and melodic cut, produced in a very organic way.
