Title track ‘Desolate Spaces’ leads the way with a huge rave-infected synth and an intense and overpowering drum track. The Purge leans more on distorted elements, using them to create dynamic movement throughout the track whilst remaining full of that typical Slam groove. Infiltration has clever, inventive FX use to create a warped environment as straight up percussive elements build the drive. Closing out the EP is The Rush a full on and explosive Techno tirade that hit full blast from the start and delivers consistent momentum

Charles Fenckler delivers the first single to be taken from his debut album Diving From The Void, the furious Stellar Acid, backed by a formidable remix from fellow countryman, Francois X. 

Classic rave vibes are the order of the day on Fenckler’s original track as the notorious sound of the 303 wreaks havoc, peaking and resonating intensely as straight up percussion and ominous pads provide the backbone to this dance floor burner. Concrete resident and D3MENTED label boss Francois X steps up with a very clever remix which utilises small elements from the acid line and pads to create and entirely new monster complete with it’s own pumped up drum workout.

Drumcode returns with its 6th installment of the internationally celebrated A-Sides series. Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Beyer’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label. 

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week. 

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends. 

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year. 

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’. 

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.

Masters Slam return to Soma in overwhelmingly top form with their latest release, the Inversion EP. After the release and finalisation of their Archive Edits project at the tail end of 2019, the dynamic Glaswegian duo set about working on new, original material, culminating in this expertly produced 4 track EP in which the pair really work through their peak time Techno material. 

Title track Inversion has them with the foot firmly on the gas as relentless percussion drives atop a warping and tripped out synth hook. Primitive Shift edges more on an acid tip as a jacked up 909 beat thunders behind a pulsating 303 sound. Container continues the jacked up feeling with the pair really working up the distortion on the 909 beats, this time increasing the overall pace of the track with a turbo charged, rave powered sequence. Closing out the EP, Zero Dip doesn’t have the duo letting up on intensity as a more industrial vibe is prevalent throughout, created by searing drones and tough atmospherics moving across pounding drums.

The story talks about four friends in search of truth during a hunt, guided by a mysterious chemist, undulating between street, party and catacombs.

We filmed the clip in Lyon in november. I would like to say that the clip has nothing to do with the Corona virus ! 😷

We welcome back UK's Ronnie Spiteri for another great single on Tronic. This time Ronnie delivers two melodic techno tracks.'Kodewerk' is a musical techno track with a euphoric break. 'Repeat' is a tripped chord driven track that shows that you can be as effective being minimal, as long as you have a good groove. If this was not enough we got Christian Smith to remix 'Kodewerk'! He took his remix in a more housy direction. Christian focused more on phat groove and the using a different chord programming while saving the melody of the original for the break. Great Package!
