Gregor Tresher"s recent full-length album "Lights From The Inside- has been praised by the press, DJs and fans alike as yet another masterpiece in a long line of releases that has cemented Gregor"s status as one of the most consistent artists in modern electronic music. Tracks like "Leaving-, "Through The Shadow Glass- and "As Days Go By- (pre-released on Josh Wink"s Ovum imprint) found their way into playlists and charts of many of the usual suspects in the international Techno circuit. While Gregor is halfway into an extensive 6-month world tour, we are now very proud to present the album remixes. Gregor invited five of his favorite producers of the moment to remix their favorite tracks from the album. First up we have Nic Fanciulli, who once again shows why he is one of the most in-demand artists of the moment, giving that special Saved-touch to his interpretation of "Lights From The Inside- by turning the more contemplative original into an A-class primetime weapon for summer-dancefloors! Next up we have Dave Sumner aka Function, one half of the mighty Sandwell District, who adds his signature, dark and twisted touch to his interpretation of "Through The Shadow Glass- by really focusing on the "shadows- - we can see this remix tearing things up at the more industrial Techno floors. Then we have Dosem from Spain - every fan of electronic music will be aware of his recent productions on Tronic or Sino - finding the perfect balance of melodies and dancefloor-appeal once again! With his moody approach, Nick Curly (together with production partner Gorge) from the now-famous Mannheim area, pays respect to the melodious vibe of the original track delivering another highlight of the package. Last but not least we have a remix by one of the most recent Break New Soil contributors: Patrick Siech, truly one of the producers of Sweden"s new school of Techno, chose "Echelon- and transformed the already massive original into something even bigger. It"s a nice coincidence that with this release by labelowner Gregor Tresher himself, Break New Soil celebrates the anniversary of being 25 releases young. Here"s to many years to come! Enjoy!

The tenth instalment of Clergy sees host to the second collaborative project between lifelong friends Jorden Hodgetts and Sam Coates (Cleric and Setaoc Mass) split over two discs. The first disc presents three driving rhythmic orientated tools, 'Odyssey', 'Isolation' and 'Centre of the Cyclone', which are sculpted flawlessly for the dance-floor. You can see a continuous theme surrounding the release, the exploration of escapism is perfectly introduced by a foreboding message courtesy of John C. Lily: "Be in the present..."

The second disc progresses as a means to go on, with the sonic emphasis moving more towards tone and melody. The sweeping pads of 'Madame Butterfly' and the sinister strings of 'subconscious life' give the songs a feeling of satisfying unease, while the electro-twinged melody of '188' evokes emotion from start to finish. Last on the EP is 'Exploration X', an ambient voyage which beautifully rounds off the record. CRG010 will also end the second series of releases on Clergy, starting a new look and bringing in a new photographer for the next series.

Their debut EP, Deep Learning, marries both styles expertly, delivering a solid and hard hitting release. 

Heavy duty, mechanical Techno is the main force in this new project as the duo open with the abrasive Backpropogation before leaping into the pounding rhythms of Convolution Neural Network. Title track Deep Learning takes a more hypnotic approach will still remaining on the tougher edge. Closing the EP with Drug Design, a heady journey fraught with tense drones and saw like synths.

Rebekah makes a more than welcome return to the Soma family with the Enigma EP. The dynamic DJ and producer has been on some what of a roll since her debut album on Soma last year and has taken her furious sound to clubs around the world. With this latest EP she continues to explore the tougher sonic territories for which she is well known. 

Title track Enigma kicks off with Rebekah’s trademark fast and furious energy prominent from the start - carefully constructed percussion and destructive sound design bring the rhythm and power behind the track. The Otherside continues the onslaught with a proper marching beat driving the track with further propellant in the form of distorted vocals and synth elements. Closing out this latest EP is Eighties With You - Rebekah delves in headstrong once again building this one gradually with explosive kicks and percussion as dark, ominous tones grind the axe before once again going full pelt for more in-your-face Techno.

Slam rework Nitzer Ebb Nitzer Ebb, Silent Breed, DK8, Terrance Fixmer and more for the final instalment of their Archive Edit series

Soma label heads Slam curate a specially designed package of tracks to finalise their Archive Edit project that sees them delve deep into Techno’s past to bring some of the genre’s best tracks into the modern age. The Archive Edit project started as a way for Slam to showcase and share the many different edits that had made their way into their DJ sets over the last few years. The pairing of Stuart McMillan & Orde Meikle have both raided their extensive collections, picking out tracks that have defined countless sets over their career. Tracks from luminaries such as Nitzer Ebb, Thomas P Heckmann (as Silent Breed), Damon Wild & Terrence Fixmer have been re-edited alongside some of Slam’s own unreleased material, showcasing the duo’s current sound; one that constantly naturally evolves, matures and demonstrates why the duo have been at the forefront of the global scene since its inception.

“We resurrect nine cuts from our archive collective collections for your listening and spinning pleasure. Some are original material, some are live re-edits, some are well-known, others are not! They all have one thing in common, they all attempt to unashamedly destroy dancefloors, and thus featured heavily, (usually toward the end of our DJ sets) in the last year or so well known”. Now we share them with you!"

Slam open the album with an absolute monster track in the form of their rework of the legendary Nitzer Ebb’s ‘Join In The Chant’. The anthemic EBM/post-punk infused original is given a thrashing overhaul from the duo marking one of the standout tracks of this collection.  A special live rework of fan favourite ‘Scorpion’ drops before the previously unreleased ‘Memoriam’ delivers on a more emotive tip. Firing back into the edits is Thomas P Heckmann’s seminal ‘Sync In’, under his Silent Breed Moniker which is a fast-paced, Neo-Trance affair Slam then drop the manic ‘1001’ which takes the BPM stratospheric. DK8’s, Murder Was The Bass is up next and given a 2019 update as the duo's edit snatches up all the most perfect elements of the track leading nicely into a rework of French EBM legend Terence Fixmer’s ‘Body Pressure’ - driving through with its twisted beats and vocals. Another special live edit of the first Archive Edit release, Damon Wild’s Rotary makes an appearance as the album closes out with the rave infected, rework of the Hertz classic ‘Recreate’
