For Somersault’s 102nd mix we have a very very special guest @w_t_c_h !!!! WTCHCRFT is regular in the New York techno scene playing at some of the best clubs in New York. Most recently WTCHCRFT has played shows along side @moma_ready for his @hausofaltr party at @bossanovacivicclub . Coming off a recent release with @sorry_records with a wild @jadalareign remix and an @i.love.acid vinyl only release that sold out in minutes WTCHCRFT has not only had a huge year as a DJ but as a producer as well. He sent us over a mix with lots of unreleased music that he’s been working on recently and we are so happy to have him on!

And on a personal note, I’d like to add that Anthony is one of the most kind and welcoming people I’ve had the chance of meeting in New York. Anthony was one of the first people I met in the city and he’s become a genuinely close friend of mine and has introduced me to people that I can also call close friends. 'The Marcy Mix is a mix inspired by a place as much as it is anything else: The Marcy North, a mythical Williamsburg loft that has occasionally played host to parties by the extended Crew Love Records family. The first time I visited the Marcy I immediately fell deeply in love with the people, energy, and vibe of the space, and for 6 long years I waited patiently for the perfect reason  to throw something there myself. This mix is a re-recording of the set I performed there at the 30th birthday edition of my 'Matt FX & Friends' party this past February 4th, alongside a lineup that included special guests Starchild & The New Romantic, Sunny Cheeba, and Thugfucker. Hi! We are back from a little hiatus and to kick off our return we have a special live mix from our friend JIALING @pbnstrawberryjam from their Nowadays debut. JIALING (big J) is a Taiwanese American producer, DJ, musician, and interdisciplinary artist. Born and raised in Baltimore, they were a classically trained cellist for 15 years before transitioning to visual and sound art. Currently based in New York, they have monthly residencies on Balamii and Hyde FM, co-founded WOE (Baltimore) and is a member of Ayi Ayi (NY).

We are happy to be back and we want to mention that we will be tweaking the series a bit. We will now only release one mix a week so we can have an emphasis on our curation and our art design and tbh our mental health since there’s only two of us. We will be responding to emails and DM’s shortly to start scheduling. As for the comp3 , that’s on hold atm but once we find our footing again we will start reaching out for tracks.

DJ RAQX Is a DJ, event producer and educator from New York with Puerto Rican and German roots. Her music selection is heavily influenced by her hybrid cultures playing vinyl + digital sets exploring 90s NY house, latin deep cuts, with new club and reggaeton sounds. 
She’s been DJing and producing events in Brooklyn with @misschiefcollective for 5+ years as well as playing international shows in Mexico, Cuba and Puerto Rico. She also teaches DJ classes at Superior Elevation Dj school.

Shi Shi is a Brooklyn based DJ and educator. She is the co-founder of the DJ workshop and skill-sharing platform We Got Next and hosts BbLeaders Radio in collaboration with Building Beats. She has played internationally and with acts such as Move D, Channel Tres, and DJ Rashida. She is motivated by the intersection of storytelling, youth/personal advocacy, media, and art and her sets feature a mix of global dance music including house, soul, disco, techno & more.

“PlayPlay combines their penchant for percussion and bass with nostalgic samples & dreamy synths in both their DJ sets & music production. Their sound is inspired by years of clubbing, crate digging and the sounds they grew up dancing to - 90s club anthems, jungle, breakbeat hardcore, industrial, classic house, techno and old school hip-hop. Gianpaolo Dieli (AKA gbd, PKA Savile) is a non-binary dj and producer who has been an integral player in the American dance music underground for over a decade. A Michigan native who began their career in Chicago with a residency at hallowed Smart Bar, gbd has built their practice around an effort to create equitable environments, imaginative visions, and disruptive programming.

Since their international debut at Berghain/Panorama Bar in 2016, Dieli has toured 10+ countries and 30+ cities across North and South America, Asia, and Europe, spreading their raw sound and unbridled energy with an open heart. In the intervening years, they’ve received support from some of the most notable publications and outlets across dance music and culture; the likes of BBC Radio 1, Red Bull Radio, Resident Advisor, i-D mag, Beats in Space, Ghostly, RinseFM, NTS, Truants, DJ Mag, Mixmag, and Groove Magazine.

Called “one of the most exciting secrets in US club culture” by Boiler Room, Gianpaolo currently works and resides in Brooklyn, New York, and holds a residency at Public Records. In 2023 they changed their artist name from Savile to gbd - marking a new beginning in their artistic journey and a continued commitment to unearthing dance musics' deepest sounds.
