Detroit means a lot to the techno world. At a point in time, it launched an entirely new genre. As a place, it birthed an entirely new cultural phenomenon. But as a genre, it has a unique and highly discernable sound that has touched every corner of the planet, giving an immeasurable amount of producers inspiration to their creativity and a formula they’ve looked to emulate. Mix five for “The Arsonist & The Architect” spins the concept on its head slightly - this entire mix is dedicated to the place I grew up in and that helped me cut my teeth as a DJ. I’ve constructed the session without a single Detroit artist - only those that are from abroad and were inspired by the sound this city gave to the world. “Influence” is about what Detroit did to techno on a global scale.

We are thrilled to finally be able to share with you one of the highest, most intense and heartfelt moments of the latest edition of the Komorebi Music Festival.
Miki, an artist who doesn't need too many introductions, blended our souls that Sunday afternoon in July: timeless records that allowed us to unite, dancing, in a single continuous flow of energy and smiles.
We fully lived every second of this set, riding the wave of its every bpm.

My next guest is Campbell.V. @campbellv I met him at an awesome Spincycle party at the Gaso and he was playing really deep music in the front bar while Sammy D was playing in the main room, such an awesome night! He kindly made this 100% vinyl mix recorded at his home on an extremely warm January night. The Mix is made up of some of the deeper records in his collection both new and old with the intent for it to be enjoyed at all times of the day. This mix was a pleasure for him to record and being able to put together a few tracks he loves, showcasing the deeper sounds of electronic music and also being able to put something together which was inspired by many hours spent at places like Lounge and the Mercat (RIP) and having some transformative experiences at parties both locally (S/O citipower and Out of focus in particular) and abroad. Enjoy this super deep trip.
