Very nice and immersive track.  Love the transitions.

It's really subtile, and you master the integration of silences, which is quite uneasy to do actually. This music is made for pure sounds lovers, in the way it is crafted with the less instruments as possible. Well done!

The Feather

more experimenting with arranging sampled sounds & loops. a little slow to build up, but once the horns and hammond organ kick in, it's pretty funky.

This song began its life some 20 years ago recorded on Mark's old skool keyboard workstation as a bass line and drum beat, accentuated by a synth melody playing over some electric piano. It sat as that basic version until just recently, when Mark had gotten into horn arrangements, and wanted to try some out, thus creating the impetus for reviving this old tune. Plus, he wanted to get the Eclectic Collective to play the guitar and keys parts on it for a little extra jazzy pizzazz.
  He turned it over to the rest of the EC gang with a pretty clear vision of what he wanted structurally. Stephen was first up, adding his driving guitar to the fist part of every verse. Josh deftly chimed in with the response line in every verse. JJ then came into the mix last and sprinkled his magic electric piano and other keys throughout. After all of our parts were in the can, Mark went to work dutifully editing and mixing what you hear as the final product. Stephen then did his pro mastering work on it to add a little bit more shine.
 This was a lot of fun to put together. It doesn't feature all of the EC, but the other guys will be on many upcoming creations. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

cette ballade au piano et piano électrique est aussi une balade dans un moment béni de ma jeunesse , lorsque, avec mes copains étudiants de philo on guettait l'arrivée en export du dernier disque de folk en provenance des US, une autre Amérique , celle des grands espaces et de la liberté, si éloignée, si opposée à celle qui se suicide aujourd'hui sous nos yeux!! on sortait alors dans le campus le piano, les guitares, les tablas, et bien sur, "le pouvoir des fleurs"! C'était quelques années après 68, c'est dire si je suis vieux!!! j'espère que ma ballade le sera moins que moi...

Bogdan-N. Blajevschi, aka "Sometimes…" has a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering. His bachelor's thesis researches: sound, sound synthesis and the architecture of modular synthesizers.
During his studies in Berlin he also discovered the beauty of pentatonic scales.
With Polish roots but born and raised between the Black Sea and Dracula's Castle, Bogdan "travels" around the world in search of new sounds and new motifs for his audio and photographic experiments.
